Meat Production Facility

One of our most recently completed projects was a new, state-of-the-art meat production facility. The brief was to convert an existing 20,000 sq ft food factory into a modern, refrigerated production unit with an effective drainage system. We took care of everything from the specialist flooring, insulated walls and ceilings to the doors, electrics, lighting, plumbing and heating. Temp Controlled Warehouse

Another recently completed project was this temperature-controlled warehousing facility and distribution centre (right). As the Principal Contractor, we were responsible for the coldroom insulation, refrigeration, electrical wiring, lighting and resin floors. The final cold store capacity was 12,250m³, with a temperature of +5°C. Refrigeration equipment used in the project included several Halls Screw Compressors, Coolers and Condenser Evaporators, with 280kW installed power. HCFC Phase Out

The first phase of the HCFC phase out has been running since 31st December 2009. It is now illegal to use virgin HCFCs in the maintenance or servicing of either refrigeration or air conditioning equipment. The full ban on HCFCs will come into effect on 1st January 2015 – this includes a ban on the use of reclaimed and recycled HCFC products. 

Between now and then the availability of HCFCs such as recycled R22 is likely to become more and more scarce. The cost of these products is also increasing, a trend which will probably now continue until the full ban comes into effect.

Air Conditioning

Demeva engineers are also well-practiced in the design, supply and servicing of air conditioning systems. From small comfort cooling / heating devices for offices and computer rooms to expansive air-conditioning networks for factories, warehouses and distribution centres, we can provide a solution to meet just about any cooling or heating requirement. 

Air conditioning equipment supplied by Demeva includes variable volume systems from the likes of Mitsubishi, Daikin and Toshiba. These can be installed at the construction stage or as a retrofit. Service and Maintenance

The best way of guaranteeing the reliability, performance and longevity of your refrigeration equipment is to have a planned maintenance contract in place. Ours include several inspection visits per year, in which a professional engineer will carry out a variety of in-depth tests to gauge the performance of your plant.
