Thesis Binding Process

At City Binding we are able to offer University and College students a full hard and soft binding service for their dissertation and thesis. Our hard bound books are rigid and are beautifully finished with full covered edges and are able to hold 400 - 90gsm sheets of paper. Our soft bound books are stiff enough to stand unaided on a bookshelf and are cut flush on the edge. They are also able to hold 400 - 90gsm sheets of paper. Both types are covered in cloth and are available in a wide range of colours, with the option of lettering available on the spine for the soft version and on the front and spine for the hard version. 

Legal and Law binding publications

At City Binders we are able to provide beautifully bound legal and law publications. Our clients include Individual Barrister’s, Judges, Solicitors and Chamber’s libraries. We use a range of services to bind these publications including the sturdy Velo system, which is ideal for instant contract and legal binding. We are also able to offer periodical binding that can be used for a variety of things both professional and personal. For a more traditional way of binding we can hand sew sections, a skill that will ensure you books last a lifetime. Not only does a hand sewn book enhance the life of the publication it also looks striking and makes the book easier to open and read. We can also provide Japanese sewing if required.
