Chemoxy is one of Europe's largest contract manufacturers, with over 100 years of operating experience.Our business is divided into three key areas: Custom Processing, Chemoxy Products and Solvent Recovery.

Our Middlesbrough site has been carrying out distillation since 1868 and our Billingham was added to the portfolio in 1994. Chemoxy is now one of Europe’s largest providers of custom manufacturing services to blue chip petrochemical and speciality chemical companies as well as to smaller companies with niche applications.

In addition, our company manufactures a range of environmentally friendly solvents which are used in the latest generation of paints and cleaning products.

The business has a large proportion of exports sales and employs over 100 highly skilled workers across the two sites. Chemoxy has a long established reputation for technical excellence, confidentiality and EH&S compliance

We serve a diverse range of industries from pharmaceutical, electronic and flavour & fragrance through to oil drilling, fuel additives and industrial solvent users. With our own products Estasol™ (low toxicity solvent) and Coasol™(low odour coalescing agent), we also have a very strong presence in the paint and coatings sector.

We like to build partnerships with our customers and we work very closely with their technical teams to develop innovative solutions to operating challenges. We enjoy long term relationships on many levels with many of our customers and we pride ourselves in our integrity, customer focus and reliability, amongst many other attributes. We screen potential enquiries using a stage / gate system to quickly identify projects which fit our capabilities and to ensure that we employ the right resources to fast track projects through the development process. Our project management system ensures efficient feedback and effective progress for projects which have the most potential for success for both parties.
