Centrator UK Ltd is a specialist manufacturer and supplier of Internal Line-Up Clamps (ILUC) with integrated purging systems. These are used for the accurate alignment of pipes and other cylindrical components for circumferential welding. With the ever-increasing demand for high quality welding, it is essential that the weld joint is accurately aligned, especially when semi-automatic / orbital TIG welding techniques are employed. Centrator supplies a wide range of manual and hydraulic ILUCs which help stabilise cylindrical components which are to be welded together. Purge systems built into the clamps also ensure contamination-free welds. Centrator has over thirty year’s worth of experience in the pipe welding industry. Our product knowledge and application expertise ensure that we always supply the most appropriate tooling for the task in hand.
Centrator's wide range of Internal Line-Up Clamps are available for purchase worldwide. In fact, over 80% of our sales are for export. Our global success is based around an ability to design, manufacture and supply the highest quality equipment that meets the needs of our customers. But it is not just product quality that distinguishes Centrator from other manufacturers - the quality of our service is also outstanding: we provide all the advice and guidance you need, pre- and post sales, to ensure you get the most from your investment. A selection of our most popular products can be found below. If you would like to find out more about any of our ILUCs, please get in touch with the Centrator team via telephone.
These are used for the accurate alignment and back purging of components that are to be welded by hand or with orbital welding heads. Manual Internal Line-Up Clamps are widely used when welding stainless steel tube, fittings, valves and filter bodies for the food, dairy, brewery, pharmaceuticals, chemical, bio-technology and cryogenics industries. They are also used to weld non-ferrous materials such as ship and submarine copper-nickel pipework.
Manual ILUCs can be mounted on turntables and lathes for improved versatility when welding pipework and circumferential components.
These hydraulically expanded clamps offer the power that is needed to handle pipes with thicker walls. They incorporate purge systems which protect the underbead from contamination, and are therefore typically used when TIG welding stainless steel and specialist steels. They are widely used for pre-fabrication of stainless steel clad pipework and for welding magnet housings for particle accelerators.
Some models include additional purge dams and purge sampling ports which are particularly useful when welding duplex stainless steel.
These light duty clamps are pneumatically operated and are often used when welding the thin walled tubes typically used in the aerospace industry. Aerospace ILUCs are ideal for welding stainless steel tube, aluminium tube and titanium tube. Also available are a selection of special shortened versions that allow the removal of the clamp through bends and elbows.
