BTI Computer Systems have supplied and installed automated monitoring systems which remotely monitor a range of conditions in critical facilities (such as computer rooms and server rooms) since 1977. When a specified threshold is reached or a critical status detected, our systems alert you by SMS, email or SNMP, enabling you to take swift action. With over 30 years worth of experience maintaining and supporting business-critical IT systems, BTI has worked with clients from a range of industries, including Utilities, Health, Finance, Charity, Retail and Public Sector. We believe that many problems can be avoided if identified at an early stage, and we understand that the most efficient way of avoiding these problems is through the use of an automated system. This is why we developed the Observer Monitoring and Communication System. The Observer - which monitors IT infrastructure and reveals problems or changes which might cause disruptions - is now employed with many businesses throughout the United Kingdom to keep them running smoothly. As well as the Observer, BTI can also offer a comprehensive range of rack mounted monitoring systems which are suited to IT rooms of any size, IP cameras with incorporated motion detection, and unique Water Detection Pads which can be installed above ceiling tiles. Our clients include Anglian Water, Blackburn Healthcare NHS Trust, Bank of Montreal, Age Concern England, Wickes Building Supplies Ltd, MoD, Westminster City Council, GlaxoSmithKline, Fujitsu Services Ltd and many, many more.
We have a range of standalone Colour IP Cameras that incorporate movement detection technology. These cameras are entirely standalone and do not require a PC at the remote site. Live footage may be viewed using standard browser software.
When triggered by movement, recorded images can be sent to remote servers or PCs, meaning no images need to be stored at camera site. Video Motion Detection allows images to be uploaded when there is movement in specific areas of the whole video image. IP Cameras are easily installed thanks to Power over Ethernet (PoE) cabling.
We offer Axis Camera Station (ACS) with our cameras - a comprehensive video management software enabling easy monitoring, recording, playback and event management.
Our Room Alert range have at least one internal and one external temperature sensor, come with Device Management Software, and are supported by BTI's 30+ years experience in critical operations.
We supply a wide range of sensors for use with RoomAlert or Observer, monitoring a real-time temperature from -55Degrees C. to 125Degrees C. These sensors are simple to install and are supplied with 7.5m cabling.
Equipment Monitoring (non invasive current clamps & digital power sensors) - this enables greater visibility of power demand, allowing you greater control in the ability to identify available capacity, make informed decisions and drive down power consumption.
'Non-Invasive' technology allows you to manage power consumption without the need for downtime.
Digital Power Sensor - This technology can identify when a power source turns on or off, and if power drops or spikes. Designed to monitor power status over time, the Digital Power Sensor possesses capabilities for trending, logging and alerting for a powered device up to 240V.
Split-Core Branch Circuit Monitor - Providing a cost-effective solution for electrical load management, the split-core branch circuit monitoring system is typically suited for applications where load capacity requirements are dynamic (i.e. Data Centres). Split-Core current transformers supervise the current draw of each critical breaker in a power distribution unit, and the acquired information may be viewed and logged across Ethernet using a Data Acquisition Unit.
In-Line Link Box - When zero downtime and maximisation of operations is imperative, this device allows data centre managers to monitor and manage the power required by mission critical and remote equipment.
Water Detection Cable - The Water Detection Cable is for use with liquid sensors and can detect the smallest amounts of moisture. When liquid is detected, the connected sensor triggers an alarm which allows the relevant software to send out alerts and/or take the correct action automatically.
Water Detection Tiles - Sitting on top of your existing suspended ceiling tile, the Halotile is made of thin, light-weight, closed cell foam that allows easy installation and maximum coverage. A small control box and dual RJ-11 port connects adjoining tiles.
Water Detection Aquapedes - This is a 'snap together', low profile technology which allows you to shape the product to the environment it is to be used in. Made of a highly durable plastic with two parallel floating blades, the Aquapede can be adjusted for uneven flooring.
We supply a fantastic range of Room Alert systems with different features to suit customer requirements. Examples of the range include the TemPageR 3E (sensors temperature only), Room Alert 4E (sensors temperature, humidity and switch sensor for power failure, smoke, water etc), Room Alert 24E (sensors temperature, humidity, power – volts, amps, watts – and switch sensors for power failure, smoke, water etc), Room Alert 26W (sensors temperature, humidity, power, switch sensors for power failure, smoke, water etc and features a wireless sensor hub (WISH).
