Boardcraft Ltd provides a wood supply and fabrication service for clients across a range of industrial sectors. Over the past forty years, we have refined and mastered the cost-effective production of wood-based panel components and have consistently delivered the finest precision components - cut to size, drilled and shaped. Our products include plywood, chipboard, MDF, hardboard, blockboard, high pressure laminates (Formica, Tespa etc), door blanks and various other wood based products imported from around the world. We're now one of the UK's leading importers and distributors, and we only source from well-managed sustainable forestry sources. Our fabrication services are a cut above the rest in terms of quality. At our facility in Cambridgeshire we have state-of-the-art equipment for precision cutting, edge banding, CNC machining, drilling and edge profiling of tongue and groove and bevelled edge components. Your made-to-measure products are pre-packed and delivered on pallets directly to your site or assembly line. Custom-Built Components

Our experienced design team are able to interpret all CAD files, sketches, drawings, specifications and templates. They utilise the very latest software to develop high precision engineered components manufactured from quality wood-based panel products. The processes are then carried out using traditional working machines alongside modern CNC-controlled equipment. Free Issue Materials including high pressure laminates (Formica, Trespa etc) can but cut and bonded to various substrates, such as Perspex sheets and Masterboard.

Supply Chain

Since the company was established in 1974, Boardcraft Ltd has grown significantly to become one of the UK's foremost importers, distributors and fabricators of plywood, chipboard, hardboard, blockboard, door blanks and Medium Density Fibreboard (MDF). We have identified mills which have a proven track record in the supply of high quality raw materials - products which can be formed into excellent component parts. We are able to take on bulk component panel production for industrial clients, no matter their volume requirements. Boardcraft maintains a flexible approach to component manufacture and supply, and continually invests in its products and procedures to improve its overall service.

Wood-based Panel Products

An excellent supply chain means an excellent range of products for our customers. We have a comprehensive stock of wood-based panel products which can be processed and delivered extremely quickly.

MDF - standard grade, lightweight and ultra lightweight options available.

Plywood - Hardwood and softwood, pine, spruce and birch. Exterior grade and marine grade available.

Oriented Strand Board (or Sterling Board) - manufactured to EN300 OSB2 and OSB 3.

Blockboard - standard grade, veneered, laminate faced.

Hardboard - standard grade, oil tempered, perforated, embossed, painted, melamine faced.

Chipboard - standard grade, furniture grade, flooring grade, veneered, melamine faced.

Pinboard - Sundeala, A & K quality, colourboard.

Specialities - calcium silicate boards, masterboard, monolux, supalux, cement bonded particleboard, solid grade laminate, high pressure laminate.

IT Equipment

Investment into IT infrastructure has provided various benefits for our customers. Ordering, stock control, production and delivery are all now computer controlled, which makes for an effective and efficient service. We are also able to archive project details so that they can be revisited and reactivated at short notice. Alongside our range of traditional woodworking machines we have several CNC machining centres, including CNC Holzma Beam Saws, CNC Weeke Routers, and CNC Brandt Edge Branding equipment. Computer controlled machinery enables us to produce precision components of the highest quality.

Boardcraft is pleased to introduce Blankfort high performance door blanks, produced in Canada and constructed from a solid pine and spruce core and either a particleboard or medium density fibreboard surface. These can be cut to size with glazing apertures, lipped, and finished with a wood veneer, high pressure laminate, or linoleum. A painted finish is also available.
