Road Blockers

The APS Aegis Road Blockers are designed to guarantee anti-ram protection against vehicle attack. Our blockers can absorb an impact of up to 7,610kg travelling at a speed of 80kph. Such an impact destroys the attacking vehicle, resists any penetration into the protected site, and leaves the Road Blocker fully functional for absorbing further attacks. Our Road Blocker features a 3-5 second rising and lowering time, restrictors to protect internal hydraulics from impacts, manual overrides in case of power failures, galvanised metal, anti-skid top plates, continuously welded frames, and other features for functionality and security.

Full Height Turnstiles

We offer Full Height Turnstiles in single or double configurations that can be installed in multiple-unit banks to control pedestrian access to high-traffic sites. Our turnstiles can be supplied with extended canopies, lighting, and other features, and can be shipped in powder-coated mild steel or stainless steel. APS Aegis turnstiles can also be customised with logos, insignia, non-standard colours, and can be installed within broader access control, recording, or payment systems.

Tripod Turnstiles

Our Tripod Turnstiles range can be supplied to meet any specific venue requirements. APS Aegis specialises in Tripod Turnstile solutions that minimise the visual effect on your environment while providing safe, secure and convenient pedestrian access control. We supply our turnstiles in stainless steel, for a clean look and easy cleaning in industrial settings. These turnstiles are ideal for public areas, such as municipal or other public venues, and staff entrances for industrial facilities.

Speed Gate Turnstiles

APS Aegis offers Speed Gate Turnstiles, with acrylic barriers, for a solution that is not only secure but attractive. Corporate headquarters, banks, leisure clubs, and other sophisticated environments that need to project a certain high-end image, all benefit from our Speed Gate Turnstiles. The retractable acrylic wings operate faster than normal turnstiles, reducing pedestrian traffic and queueing; and we offer a choice of top surface materials to match your venue's decor.

Anti-Climb Spinners

Walls can keep introducers out; but walls topped with easy-to-install Anti-Climb spinners can do an even better job of protecting sensitive properties. Spinners can be mounted on walls, to roof tops, on fencing, masts or other towers, and form a strong barrier to intrusion or attack. The Spinners are comprised of extruded aluminium with an overall diameter of 400mm; each vane has a thickness of 2.5mm. Different configurations of spinners are available for different security needs.

Automatic Bollards

Our Automatic Bollards range is suitable for a wide variety of applications, from protecting space at private car parks and residences, to anti-ramming bollard systems for military bases, embassies, or other facilities. All of our Automatic Bollards have been security tested to industry standards. We offer bollards with state-of-the-art design, competitive prices, and in a variety of coatings (including luminous strips) and configurations. And we supply the Totem Access Control Pillar for controlling your Automatic Bollards.

Manual Bollards

APS Aegis offers telescopic Manual Bollards when you need a highly secure, and highly convenient, method of controlling physical access and ensuring general protection. The bollard is installed into the ground and extended when needed. We also offer a "lift assist" manual bollard, which uses a gas strut to balance the effective weight of the bollard during operation, making it light to operate. And we supply a folding, recessed bollard in situations where deep excavations are not easily achieved.

Fixed Bollards

We offer Fixed Bollards, units that are not designed to be collapsed or folded, for situations where permanent control is a necessary aspect of your solution. Our steel core, polyurethane-coated Fixed Bollards are low maintenance and cost-effective solutions that are chiefly used in areas vulnerable to accidental vehicle contact. The bollards resist the impact of a vehicle, bending and not breaking to accommodate the impact, and then return to a functioning vertical position after the accident.

High Security Bollards

The High Security Bollard range is designed to meet the security and protection needs of high asset value locations, such as military bases, embassies, government facilities, critical infrastructure installations, and other such locations. Our anti-ram bollards are designed to fully comply with United States security regulations. These bollards are designed to withstand intense impacts while remaining largely undamaged and protecting your premises from attacks.

Tyre Killer Ramps

APS Aegis offers the Predator Tyre Killer Ramp, giving you one-way traffic control. Installation on concrete and asphalt surfaces is quick, with no excavation, and the teeth are deployed with a vehicle-activated spring release system trigged by unwanted access attempts. The teeth angle is adjusted by the vehicle's own weight so as to achieve the optimal angle for penetrating the tyres. We offer the Tyre Killer Ramp in 0.5m and 1m lengths; modules can be joined together to cover a full road width. Longer lengths can be supplied. The ramps come in high-visibility yellow with galvanised teeth for long life. And the ramps allow for teeth lockdown for temporary traffic access.

Tyre Killer Barriers

We supply Tyre Killer Barriers for high traffic applications; these are traffic barriers combined with our Predator tyre killer units. The barriers and ramps are simple to install and are especially appropriate for road entrances to banks, military facilities, airports and docks, and other such locations. The tyre killer teeth retract below the ramps as the traffic barrier rises, allowing for safe access; when the barrier drops, the teeth extend. The boom arm can be raised within 2-5 seconds, with boom arms between 3-6 metres long. Traffic lights and stop signs are also available.

Traffic Flow Plates

APS Aegis supplies Traffic Flow Plates to regulate traffic through one-way systems, such as car parks, goods loading yards, bus lanes, and other comparable settings. These units require no power, feature easy installation, and come with rubber buffers for quiet usage. A variety of sizes are available. We recommend that these plates are permanently embedded in concrete foundations so as to become a permanent heavy-duty control solution for one-way traffic areas.

Parking Control Systems

We offer Parking Control Systems for single or multiple car parking sites, with local or remote parking control, offering you a revenue stream from your car park assets with a minimum of overhead costs or management. These terminals help you regulate customers' use of parking space, the fee incurred for such use, and other essential variables for good car park management.

Infra-Red Intruder Detection

APS Aegis is proud to offer a new solution for effective and reliable, discreet, active Infra-Red Intruder Detection barriers that can be installed around windows, doors, walls and perimeters. These detectors can be used to turn on lights, open gates, direct cameras, and of course, to sound the alarm. The detectors can beam either horizontal infra red beams or an inter-crossed web for more comprehensive coverage of doors, windows, and other spaces. The beams have ranges up to 100m; up to 28 beams can be fit into a height of just 2.5m. And as part of the overall solution, we offer a Vibration Detector, Microwave Detector, a Personal Emergency Dialler, and a Video Motion Detection System.

Automation Safety Systems

We take extremely seriously our legal responsibility to our customers to provide Automated Safety Systems that are effective in meeting your security and protection needs. Our new range of Safety Curtains are designed with this in mind. These products provide detection across gates, doors, and barriers, by using multiple infra-red transmitters and receivers along the full length and height of the space. Quick to install and easy to operate, these Safety Curtains can be retrofitted to existing barriers and gates. This system can operate in lengths of 500mm and up to 2,500mm, offering wide coverage. Our full safety curtains range and related products offer a comprehensive solution that leads to peace of mind.

Video Intruder Detection Systems

APS Aegis offers an automated intruder alerting solution with surveillance cameras. No security system is complete without a surveillance solution for constant monitoring of large unmanned premises. Our system, which features three integral video cameras with infra-red illumination, is capable of monitoring human activity up to 60m away from the camera. And it features onboard logic that determines whether movement patterns are normal, and can be disregarded, or are a cause for alarm. The multiple cameras of the product allow the system to simultaneously focus on different areas and distances at once, and operate the automatic intruder alert system from a combined set of data.

Automatic Barriers

We offer reliable, efficient and durable Automatic Raise Arm Barriers for any residential or commercial property. We can supply barriers of up to 8m. Our barriers can be raised in as little as 1.2 seconds, or 6 seconds for the heavy duty model. These motorised units use low-energy power units, for cost-effectiveness, and feature programmable logic controllers so that your barrier can be tailored to your needs.

Surface Mounted Blocker

Our Surface Mounted Road Blocker offers the benefits of controlling access to a location without the excavation and ground works required for conventional blockers embedded in the road – suitable when excavations are impossible or access needs to be only temporarily controlled. Our Surface Mounted Road Blocker can be used for both entry and exit, with widths of 3m, 3.5m, or 4m, can be activated by push button, remote control, card entry system, or induction loop, and comes with vandal-proofed traffic lights. The blocker can be raised and lowered within two seconds, can bear unlimited axle weight, and ranges from 40mm in the lowered position and up to 350mm when raised.

Manual Barriers

APS Aegis supplies manual barriers for effective but low-cost access control to car parks, utility roads, and other sensitive areas. The Manual Barrier can be locked in the raised vertical position or the lowered horizontal position, ensuring security and convenience, according to your needs.

Sliding Gates

We supply Cantilever Sliding Gates that eliminate the need for a costly, loud, or maintenance-heavy ground track, while ensuring the security that you need. These welded steel gates are stronger and longer-lasting than aluminium models. Our Sliding Gates can be tailored with heights of 1.9m to 3m, and widths from 10m up to 25m, and can be built to match your current fencing structures, with anti-vision panels or decorative infills as desired. Automated and manual versions are both available. Our gates can also be linked to alarm and fire systems – so that they automatically close or open, depending on the crisis. We offer three versions of this gate: Light Industrial, Security, and High Security.

Swing Gates

Our tough steel gates, with steel mesh or vertical bars, swing on heavy-duty hinges and come with locks as standard. These gates can be adjusted and re-hung after installation; require minimal maintenance, and can be supplied with automation or access control if needed. We supply these swing gates, ideal for rural roads and other rural uses, in single and double leaf styles, built to 2.2m in height and up to 6m in width.

Bi-Fold Gates

APS Aegis produces Bi-Fold gates, also known as speed gates, that operate at speeds of 1m per second and can be fitted with all standard access control systems. Bi-fold gates are typically used in high security locations, such as prisons or police stations, but can also be used when quick-acting gates are needed for high traffic, such as multi-story car parks. Our Bi-Fold gates can be built to suit aperture widths of up to 7m. These gates are installed by mounting brackets for the drive units to the top of the gate hanging posts. The gate leaf is operated with an articulated arm. And the entire system is built with fail safes and rubber buffers, as well as electronic detectors, to avoid any accidental contact.

Telescopic Gates

We offer Telescopic Gates that combine the modern design style and practical utility of standard sliding gates but also offer a number of extra benefits. A single sliding unit opens at a lower speed; with telescopic gates, the multiple gates slide into their contracted position in concert, thus moving out of the way of the road at a faster rate. This has benefits at high security locations, reducing the amount of time a facility is vulnerable, while also increasing traffic flow at high traffic locations. We supply Telescopic Gates in cantilevered or track format; the track, while requiring more maintenance, allows for extremely large gates to be installed when conventional gates would be unsuitable or too slow. APS Aegis can supply Telescopic Gates bespoke to your exact needs. And all of our products in this range, as in all our ranges, come with extensive safety features to keep operators and others protected and safe. Our Telescopic Gates can be fully integrated with your automated access systems.
