Applied Truck & Trolley Ltd specialises in the design, manufacture and supply of industrial handling equipment. We offer a wide range of standard, custom-built and made-to-order platform trolleys, hand trucks, industrial trailers, mobile steps, access platforms, sack barrows, forklift safety cages and many other types of materials handling equipment. 

For over 35 years, we have been producing high quality trolleys, trucks and platforms for a variety of industrial handling tasks. Today we are one of the UK’s leading suppliers. Forklift Safety Cages

Forklift safety cages/access platforms are made to comply with the Health & Safety Guidance Note PM28. They are designed to accommodate two people, are fully welded, and are compatible with most forklift trucks. Non-slip steel flooring with drainage holes, 150mm high all-round kick plates and a mesh infilled back makes them a safe option for various aerial tasks. They are secured to the forklift truck by steel pins and a chain, and are finished in bright yellow for maximum visibility. Optional extras include swivel castors, a safety harness and lanyard. Standard platform size is 1060 x 1060mm.

Industrial Trailers

We supply a range of industrial flatbed trailers and long load trailers with load capacities ranging from 1000kg to 3000kg (4000kg for flatbed trailers). These heavy duty designs feature ball bearing turntable ring steering systems and an A-frame towbar with 40mm towing eye as standard. Optional features include parking brakes, towing hitch, and linked or Ackerman steering. Flatbed and long load trailers can be custom-built to individual specifications. Industrial Trailers Long Load Timber/Pole Trailers

As well as standard long load trailers and trolleys, Applied can also supply adjustable length versions. These can easily be adapted to suit the load length by extending the distance between the bolsters (loads up to 3 metres can be accomodated). Maximum weight capacity is 3000kg. Adjustable long load trailers feature ball bearing turntable ring steering and a single pole towbar with 40mm towing eye. Linked and Ackerman steering options are available upon special request.

Board Transporters

We offer a range of trolleys designed for the safe handling and transportation of panel products, plasterboard, sheet materials, doors, tables and radiators. They feature two removable rails that can be positioned in five different ways to suit the load, and are made with two swivel-type and two fixed castors which have rubber tyre wheels. Turntable Trucks

We have designed and manufactured an extensive range of turntable trucks in a variety of standard platform sizes, with optional hinged or drop-in sides. Load capacity ranges from 500kg to 2000kg, but all models offer than same outstanding manoeuvrability and are built to the same quality standard. Lower capacity models have friction plate steering, while higher capacity, heavy duty models have ball bearing turntable rings. Platform Trolleys

Applied Truck & Trolley Ltd offers a variety of standard-size platform distribution trolleys which can be made with plywood or mesh sides (optional). The range includes:

• Balance Trucks - with centrally mounted fixed castors for maximum manoeuvrability in confined spaces.
• Narrow Aisle Platform Trolleys – ideal for situations where doorways/aisle access is restricted.
• Board/Sheet Panel Trucks – specifically designed for moving products such as plywood, plasterboard, folding tables, sheet metal etc.

We can also manufacture custom trolleys to suit individual platform size and load capacity requirements.

Mobile Steps

Applied Truck & Trolley Ltd also designs, manufactures and supplies a range of mobile safety steps for use in warehouses, factories, workshops, vehicle maintenance areas, storage facilities and archives. The range incorporates heavy duty, medium duty, and spring loaded safety steps:

• Heavy Duty – with platform heights from 1250mm to 3750mm and a choice of three tread types.
• Medium Duty – for less frequent use at lower heights
• Spring Loaded – designed for enhanced manoeuvrability in restricted areas

Sack Trucks

We offer a range of heavy duty sack barrows and medium duty folding foot sack trucks designed for load capacities ranging from 100kg to 430kg. All of them are built to the highest possible standard to guarantee load carrying performance over an extended period of time. We also offer a tri-wheel stair climber truck for the movement of loads on stairs, and a single-handle chair mover truck for the safe transportation of stacked chairs.
