Stainless Steel Reinforcing Bar

Anaco provides stainless steel rebar for civil engineering and structural applications. Rebar helps to extend the life of a reinforced concrete structure in normal and aggressive environments, and can significantly reduce the costs over the lifecycle of your project. Stainless steel can be used together with high tensile carbon steel to prevent galvanic corrosion. This means stainless can be designed following high tensile carbon design standards, and no 'accommodation' is required when including stainless in the design. Stainless and carbon steel can be seamlessly interchanged, meaning the designer or specifier can continue to use the cheaper carbon steel in the structure, without risk of corrosion. Stainless Steel Welded Mesh

Anaco Stainless supplies stainless steel welded mesh for the civil engineering and sprayed concrete markets. Plain wire weld mesh is used to reinforce any form of thin layer concrete, but where cover is low, the sensible choice is to use stainless steel, which is highly corrosion resistant. A strong defence against corrosion ensures a more durable structure. Our stainless welded mesh is available on short delivery times, and at extremely competitive prices. Anaco also offers to custom design welded mesh for your architectural design applications, such as balcony fixtures, stairway infills, etc. Additionally, Anaco supplies basket cable trays, gabions and wire cages. Though more expensive, stainless steel gabions offer durability that other materials cannot match, and will therefore last longer without danger of embankment collapse. Our stainless wire cages have been used as an environmentally friendly solution for a range of applications. One recent use was for a river habitat stabilisation scheme in flood plain and inter-tidal zones.

Stainless Steel Cable Trays

Anaco Stainless provides stainless steel cable trays in a standard range of sizes which are suitable primarily for electrical cabling and pipe work. Stainless steel is ideal where environmental conditions require a corrosion resistant material, or where a bright finish is needed to give a more aesthetically attractive appearance. We are able to supply cable tray designs based on architectural drawings, and we'll also give you a quote on request, so don't hesitate to get in touch. Stainless Steel Perforated Plate

Our perforated plate and sheet has been designed for use in the water treatment industry. It is becoming increasingly common to use perforated plate for filter beds in water treatment works, particularly because it is a cost-effective and clean alternative to ceramic tiles. We do not stock any specific sizes of perforated plate, since every area that needs to be covered is unique. That's why we custom-design perforated plate to your individual requirements. Any design is possible, and can be delivered to your site within workable lead times. Stainless Steel Chequer Plate

Anaco Stainless supplies high-quality, corrosion-resistant, stainless steel chequer plate. We predominantly stock heavy chequer plate manufactured from grade 304 and 316 stainless steel, but we're happy to receive enquiries for lightweight products. We have a large stock of standard sizes, but can also provide special sizes to suit your requirements. Lead times for bespoke sizes tend to vary from four to eight weeks, depending on market conditions. Our stock products come in thicknesses of 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, and 10 mm.

Lean Duplex Steels

Duplex steels are the most corrosion resistant of all the common stainless alloys, and tend to offer superior mechanical strength. They are more commonly used for high precision engineering applications. A new generation of duplexes has been introduced called 'lean duplexes', which have far less nickel and molybdenum content. These are the elements that are so costly, but it has been proven that removing them does not compromise stainless steels' resistance to corrosion. Though generally regarded as on a par with 304 grade stainless, it is highly likely that eventually, lean duplex stainless steel will be accepted as the equivalent of 316 grade, particularly when considered for application as a reinforcement in concrete. Lean duplexes may not be as mechanically robust as full duplex stainless steels, but they are far more cost-effective, and are better than most common austenitics. Stainless Steel Training Seminars

Anaco Stainless hosts regular training seminars on the use of stainless steel in concrete. We invite consulting engineers, local authorities, government agencies, contractors and trade associations to learn more about the benefits of stainless steel. We all know that it is an expensive material, but when stainless steel is used in conjunction with high tensile carbon steel in reinforced concrete, the lifecycle of the concrete structure is greatly enhanced. This is a long-term cost benefit that far outweighs the marginal increase in up-front project costs. This is one of the main (but not the only) reasons for using stainless steel as reinforcement. It also minimises concrete maintenance, reduces concrete cover, and is also an environmentally friendly solution, since the material is recyclable, and requires less concrete usage (reduced CO2 emissions).
