Masts

Here at Allspars Ltd, we are pleased to supply the industry with tough and robust masts. These masts are largely constructed from sections and component parts produced by Selden Mast Ltd, UK. Selden designs and produces world class integrated products and components suitable for the manufacture of 40ft – 70ft yachts. The company is widely-respected in the industry for supplying incredibly high performance components.

Our new large yacht mast mastheads feature sheaves and shafts that can be replaced without the need to unstep the mast first. The new ‘V’ spreaders also offer increased strength and feature interchangeable outboard shroud ends with specially designed end-caps to suit a range of applications.

Booms

We are also pleased to supply Selden booms. These state-of-the-art booms are suitable for use on a range of yachts, keelboats and dinghies. They can be used as furling masts or fitted for traditional slab reefing and single line reefing.

Our booms feature a gooseneck fitting which houses the sheaves for the upper lines, for the single line reef and for the reefing winch and cockpit lines. Lower lines are held in place by spring loaded, colour coded rope stoppers.

The boom end is gently rounded and fastened with screws. It is supplied with a cast preventer bracket, topping lift eye and numbered line compartments.

Poles

Allspars  Ltd supplies Selden aluminium and carbon spinnaker poles and accessories for spinnaker sailing. A spinnaker is a type of sail designed specifically for sailing off the wind from a reaching course to a downwind. The spinnaker usually sits at the front of the boat and fills with wind when it is released. We supply an excellent range of spinnaker poles for use with yachts, boats, keelboats and dinghys. Our lightweight aluminium spinnaker poles are easy to use and are fitted with pole savers for protection against forestay and shroud damage. Our lightweight carbon poles are quick and easy to handle and are beneficial for reducing weight at the front of the boat.

Furling Gear

We also supply high performance furling systems.

The range includes:

• Headsail furling: various headsail furling systems are available from Furlex, Harken, Scheaffer, Rotastay and Profurl. The range includes the fantastic new Furlex jib furler available in sizes 100S, 200S and 300S.
• In-mast furling: Selden furling masts are available including hydraulically driven furling systems suitable for sailing large crafts.
• In-boom furling: features the FurlerBoom which is easy to install onto existing masts and can flatten and de-power the remaining mainsail as reefs are taken.

Deck Hardware

Rigging

We also provide top quality conventional wire-rigging, rod systems and fiber-based solutions. High performance stainless steel wire is widely used by sailors, however, rod systems are also extremely popular and feature increased performance compared to wire options as a result of lower weight aloft and decreased windage advantages. Our fiber solutions also provide users with large weight savings.

We are pleased to supply a range of Sailtec equipment including: hydraulics push/ pull cyclinders, hydraulic-pneumatic cylinders, integral pump/ pull cylinders and panel pumps (generates from 2,500 to 250,000 pound tension).
