Based in Derby, Aerodyn Ltd specialise in providing high quality instrumentation and testing to aerospace, power generation, automotive and industrial businesses worldwide. We work alongside our sister company Aerodyn Engineering Inc. (AEI), in areas of design, installation, testing and analysis as well as providing slip ring systems. We also specialise in building applications for OEMS and end users throughout the world.
Our standard line of high speed, data quality slip ring assemblies and speciality instruments are manufactured in partnership with AEI and are suitable for all types of rotary machinery and come in range of sizes and speeds.
Our sister company AEI is also a member of National Instruments™ Alliance and we are able to provide data acquisitions and control systems using our vast library of LabVIEW™ applications as well as other customised software and test routines.
Should you require it, we are also able to perform testing in house or on field sites, regardless of how inhospitable or remote they are. We are more than happy to travel to any site in the world and our years of working with turbo machinery of all types, combined with our extensive experience guarantees that testing will be carried out to the highest level.
Aerodyn Engineering can also give clients a range of options for prototype and development machining; these include close tolerance and precision fabrication. We are able to use a selection of technique in-house such as CNC milling and turning, welding, brazing, balancing and sheet metal forming.
Our other services incorporate instrumentation, fabrication, and installation and we offer a wealth of expertise in this field as well as being able to carry out a full inventory test of all equipment and accessories.

Dynamic testing can be performed in-house or on site and we use a series of sensors on systems or components that detect responses to natural or forced frequencies. Our dynamic testing service covers specific areas of analysis, which are data, modal, structural and mechanical as well as airfoil characterization, and advanced and routing signal processing. Our dynamic testing can be used with our other services such as instrumentation and data acquisition, enabling us to acquire a complete understanding of all the signals being analysed. We understand how vital it is to have accurate data that you can rely on and our range of testing ensures that we provide you with the optimal results.
We use specialist LabVIEW™ software to create an application that entirely bespoke to each customer. As data is collected and analysed in real time it speeds up the decision making process, with choices being made almost instantaneously. Clients can view their data digitally during testing and it can also be sent directly to offsite engineers electronically if required.
Our service also allows our customers to retrieve data remotely from their sites without the need for added staff or travelling costs. Data can be sent through the landline, mobile phone or internet and we are also able to upload it to a secure website, allowing the customer to view the information in real time from any location in the world.
