Anti Mould Paint and Condensation Control

At Advanced Chemical Specialities we offer a range of antimould and condensation control products, which offer protection against unhygienic black mould. Our product range is of a premium quality featuring low odour levels and will protect against black mould even when condensation is continuously present. Teak Deck Products

It only takes a few weeks for the teak deck of yacht to become discoloured and grey, and to combat this problem we offer products to treat yacht decks and to help combat against mould and algae. We listened to requests and product advice from yacht owners and now offer Boracal 10Rh for professional use and Boracal 5RH for amateur use. Both of these products contain two biocides, one of which is quaternary ammonium, which acts to help eliminate algae and mould. The second biocide, inorganic borate, appears only in very low levels in the Boracal 5RH but is provided in higher levels in Boracal 10RH. Surface Binder

Our high quality surface binder comes in the form of a solvent free, water dilutable concentrate and the binder provides the ideal solution for previously unexposed and new interior masonry and brickwork. Once the surfaces are treated with the ACS professional surface binder they will remain fully water vapour permeable and binder usage rates are four square metres per litre or coat. We recommend that you use the surface binder on the day after dilution. We offer our surface binders in one litre and 2.5 litre sizes. Masonary Consolidation

As part of our masonry consolidation range we offer the Wacker OH100 stone consolidator, which has a proven track record as one of the best consolidating agents available. This product is suitable for most types of masonry and brickwork, and application rates vary depending on the substrate. Masonary Water Repellents

Advanced Chemical Specialities offers a number of masonry water repellents. Our universal water based, non-organic solvent, water repellent is suitable for masonry and wood, and comes ready to use on almost all interior and exterior surfaces. We also offer the ACS masonry watery repellent (290), which is a special alkali resistant grade water repellent suitable for repointing applications, new work and can be used with our Wacker OH100 stone consolidator. Our masonry water repellent concentrate is a water dilutable silicon microemulsion concentrate that provides superior depth penetration as a water repellent. This product is alkaline resistant and extremely effective on damp surfaces.

Microporous Timber Coating

As part of our weather protection range of products we offer three medium build microporous decorative timber coatings suitable for most hardwood and softwood construction projects. Our breathable and flexible microporous timber coatings are the ideal solution for construction joinery applications including windows, doors, cladding, soffits and barge boards. Timber coating comes in opaque, transparent and full gloss finish featuring UV controlling pigments as well as a range of fungicides that offer paint film protection. Oakote 600

Our weather protection product range includes the quick drying Oakote 600, which comes in a single pack and is based on a combination of polymers and paraffin wax. Oakote 600 has been specifically designed for both interior and exterior use for green oak and other timber components. This premium product provides a highly protective water repellent surface that is vapour permeable. Oakote 600 reduces water intake while allowing natural drying providing superior weather protection. Universal Water Repellent

Our extensive weather protection range includes the premier quality, single pack Universal Water Repellent (WB). Our microporous, transparent universal water repellent is ready to use and has been specifically designed to be used on most exterior joinery to provide a durable rainproof finish. When fully dry this product helps to prevent water ingress and leaching of water-soluble timber preservatives. Full water repellence can be achieved 48 hours after application and this product allows additional painting with water and solvent based wood stains after only 72 hours. Our universal water repellent is also an ideal solution for helping to reduce algae on timber decking via its water resistant finish.

The Wacker OH100 Preservation System

As part of our decay and erosion protection range we offer the Wacker OH100 Preservation System specifically designed for deep penetration to help prevent erosion of stone and brickwork. The Wacker OH100 Stone Strengthener contains silicic acid ethyl esters and is ready for immediate use. Once applied to the prepared surface the product will be absorbed through the capillary action of the masonry. The required depth of penetration will be reaches by continuous applications until the substrate cannot absorb any more product and a recommended silicone water repellent should also be used to impregnate the substrate. Organic Growth

Organic biological growths such as fungi, algae and mosses can lead to the disfiguring of buildings and long-term substrate decay. The application of surface biocides is one of the best ways of protecting external facades from continuous biological growth and Baracol 10RH contains HSE approved surface biocides disodium octaborate tetrahydrate and benzalkonium chloride. Baracol 10RH is suitable for a number of building facades including timber, roofs, patios and paths. This product is simple to use and should be applied under dry conditions with a second application used if required. The ACS Biosan Range

As part of our protection against bacterial growth we offer the ACS Biosan range, available as a coating and as a sealant. These products offer protection against bacteria such as Salmonella sp, Staphylococcus aureus, Listeria monocytogenes and many more. The ACS Biosan range is suitable for use in locations such as hospitals, dental surgeries, restaurants, kitchens, breweries, schools and leisure facilities, to name just a few. Penetrating Damp

Penetrating damp is one of the major causes of serious damage to a building’s structure and can result in frost damage, deterioration of thermal insulation properties, increase in damp patches and an increase in organic growth. Water repellents can be used to combat penetrating damp and we supply three repellents that will help to protect against water penetration in masonry. Our product range includes the Universal Water Repellent and our ACS 290 Water Repellent, both of which are ready for use immediately. Fire Retardants & Intumescent Paint

Our ACS S92/FR Fire Retardant Coating system, available in clear or white, is designed for application on timber and timber related substrates to meet BS476, EN 13501 and parts 6 & 7 of the UK Building Regulations. It is suitable for both interior and exterior application, and is available in 1.0, 2.5, 5.0 and 20.0 litre tins. 

ACS’s S42 Intumescent Coating System offers 30 or 60 minutes protection on timber and timber related substrates in accordance with BS476 and EN1364-1. It can also be used for upgrading painted masonry, wallpaper and certain polyurethane and plastic substrates. 

Water Repellents

ACS offers a choice of three water repellent coatings. These are:

• ACS Universal WB – a specially formulated water repellent system for use on most indoor and outdoor surfaces. 
• ACS Microporous Timber Coating - a microporous, flexible and extremely durable coating for application to most hardwood and softwood construction joinery.
