AFT Fluorotec was established in 1986 and specialises in the production of PTFE and plastic components from its two manufacturing facilities based in the UK. Our highly skilled team has extensive knowledge of machining various plastics such as Nylon, Acetal, PTFE, PCTFE, PFA, PVDF, FEP, Vespel, UHMWPE, PP, HDPE, Tufnol, ABS, ECTFE, PEEK, Acrylic, and more. We use modern, state of the art machinery and machining methods to create high quality products. PTFE and Fluoropolymer Materials

We supply a range of compression-moulded PTFE tube in virgin PTFE as well as our AF range of filled PTFE compounds. We also supply a range of other Fluoropolymer materials including TFM, FEP, PFA and PCFE. These materials are designed for manufacturing products that involve wear, low friction, or will be used in high temperatures. Victrex PEEK HT© in virgin or filled grades are also available. All of our materials are fully certified and tested for your assurance and to meet industry standards.

Seals and Seal Types

Our high performance seals provide many benefits such as durability and chemical resistance. They are effective for low wear and low friction, extreme temperature ranges, high pressure and high surface speed applications.  We provide three main types of seals; Elastomeric Energiser Material, Spring Energiser Material, and Jacket material that is not restricted to just PTFE. A downloadable brochure is available on our website. Our seals are widely used in industries such as aerospace, military, medical, oil, gas, pharmaceutical, scientific, and offshore.

PTFE Coatings

Our PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) materials are used to coat components, parts and surfaces found across a multitude of industries, including aerospace, automotive, oil and gas, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, medical, packaging, rubber and plastic moulding and many others. So as well as bakeware, you’ll find our coatings on pumps and fans, springs and filters, hoists and tanks, and much, much more besides. PTFE coatings are valued for their high operating temperatures (up to 290°C), non-stick properties, low friction co-efficients, abrasion-resistance and chemical resistance. They can be applied as single coat, two coat or three coat premium systems.

Victrex ® PEEK

We offer virgin PEEK as extruded bar and tube stock, which offers excellent chemical resistance, heat resistance, wear resistance, low flammability and good electrical properties - making it ideal for vale seals, electrical insulators, connectors, wear rings, piston and rod rings and much more. We can also provide a full range of Dynamic cast PEEK tube in sizes up to 500mm in diameter, as well as producing an extensive range of compression moulded PEEK rods and tubes in over 15 grades of filled PEEK, in sizes up to 600 mm diameter. The material can be machined to your exact requirement on one of our CNC machines.

PTFE Sliding Systems

We offer over 15 years worth of experience in the design and manufacture of PTFE (Polytetrafluoroethylene) sliding systems, so you can count on the quality and reliability of our products.  We design and manufacture PTFE Slide Bearings to suit each individual customer’s requirements.  Our PTFE Skidway plates are in use all across the globe and we are known for high quality and excellent customer service.  All products are accredited to BS EN ISO 9001:2008 standard,  You can take a look at our website to learn more about the PTFE Sliding Systems in detail and, as always, we will be very pleased to work with you on your unique requirements.

Aerospace Applications
