| For intermittently used areas |

Use of fast response lighting is
suggested, e.g. fluorescent lighting connected to occupancy sensors. Automatic on/off switches. |
| For slow response lighting |
| Use
of time controls is suggested to ensure lights are switched off out of occupancy
hours (e.g. metal halides or sodium
lighting). |
| For areas with large numbers of
lights |

Enough switches should be provided to use only required lights. Label switches according to the lights they control. |
