Alternative Construction Products

SIG are proud to stock leading brands within the specialist field of insulation, including modern alternative construction products which are designed to achieve high-performance solutions.  In recent years it has become more and more important to provide high energy conservation standards within construction, and new specialist building systems (known often as System Build) can address this – such as Insulslab High Performance Raft Foundation and Insulwall Insulated Concrete Formwork.

Insulslab SFRC (or Steel Fibre Reinforced Concrete) is based on a particular type of raft foundation, made up of a series of interlocking polystyrene pods forming a slab. Steel fibre reinforced concrete, made by ArcelorMittal, is poured over the top to form the finished foundation. Insulwall is a complete system, based on lightweight interlocking expanded polystyrene forms, into which concrete is poured before the wall is finished, to create a fully insulated structural wall. Solar Thermal – Water Heating System
