Diamond Drilling

Diamond drills are used to create neat, clean holes through all types of mass and reinforced concrete, brickwork and block work. These can range in size from 6mm right up to 100mm diameter.

The process is quiet, efficient and gives off minimal vibration, and therefore ideal in areas where noise may cause an issue. Where larger openings in slabs or walls are required, NBC technicians can also undertake Diamond Stitch Drilling - a method particularly suitable in situations where floor and wall sawing options are restricted.

Floor Sawing

Diamond floor sawing is a fast and effective way of creating clean-cut edges on concrete slabs or asphalt surfaces. It is typically used to form openings for service and ventilation ducts, lift shafts, escalators and separation joints prior to demolition, but is also often used to cut expansion joints, to crack inducing joints, and to form trenches. Our diamond floor sawing machines are capable of cutting depths down to 600mm.

Chasing

Diamond chasing is often employed in situations where concealed conduits and pipework are to be installed in walls, floors and ceilings made with masonry or concrete. The process is carried out using either a handheld chasing machine or a grinder with a diamond blade attached. After two slots have been cut to the predetermined depth, the centre of the channel is then removed using a lightweight, handheld breaker. Throughout the process a vacuum is used to control and contain consequent dust.

Track/Wall Sawing

Here at NBC Diamond Drilling Ltd, we are pleased to provide diamond track/wall sawing services. Diamond track/ wall sawing is the most effective method of cutting openings in concrete structures. This fast and precise process is widely used for cutting openings in walls, floors and on inclined surfaces. Our highly skilled and qualified engineers use a track system that supports a travelling saw head, safety guard and circular diamond segmented blade. Once the track has been bolted to the concrete surface, the operator sets the saw head and blade in motion by remote control from a safe distance. Operation is powered by either an electric or hydraulic motor.
