Rubber Mouldings

Martin’s provides expert advice and solutions for the design, selection of materials, and manufacture of one-off or large batch orders.

From prototyping through to production, our highly skilled team has the facilities to produce a wide range of medium volume rubber products in the entire range of elastomeric thermoset materials.

Our production facilities feature injection moulding machines of up to 1 litre capacity and more than 20 transfer and compression moulding machines which enable us to produce items from a fraction of a gram in weight up to weights of 5kg.

Seals

As a leading manufacturer of hydraulic and pneumatic seals, we are pleased to stock all of the common standard rubber O rings (British Standard, BS, and metric sizes in NBR and Viton) and can also supply non-standard materials such as silicone and EPDM. Customers can also purchase metal cased wipers and pneumatic seals as well as wide range of NOK® Japanese sized seals. 

 
Alongside our standard range of hydraulic and pneumatic seals, we also manufacture customised seals to suit specific customer/ application requirements.

Gaskets

We hold large stocks of sheet materials and have the facilities and capabilities to supply gaskets to order or to a specific schedule. 

 
We have a wide range of cutters for standard items and can also manufacture bespoke rule forms for projects that we don’t have cutters for. 

 
Our rubber gaskets and shims are available in all of the common polymers and we also stock a complete range of non-asbestos fibre, EMI/RFI shielded, insertion and paper materials.

 
Alongside our rubber moulding services, we also have the facilities to manufacture special sheeting grades to create bespoke materials if required. 

Sheeting

Martin’s supplies rubber and other materials in sheet form or cut to meet specific size requirements. We hold large stocks of rubber sheeting materials from traditional solid natural rubber grades through to high specification synthetic rubbers such as Viton® and silicone. Standard commercial grades of rubber are available which are suitable for basic industrial and domestic applications as well as military specifications and high performance materials that meet specifications such as BS1154, BS2751 and BS2752. We can provide part or full rolls.

Sponge

We also supply high quality sponge rubber sheet products. We stock large amounts of rubber materials including natural rubber grades through to high specification synthetic rubbers such as Viton® and silicone. Popular products in the range include: silicone sponge, Viton sponge, closed cell expanded neoprene sponge (firm and standard grades), closed cell expanded EPDM sponge and Plastazote® polyethylene foam (in a range of densities). Our excellent production, stockholding and fabrication facilities enable us to supply a wide range of standard or bespoke parts which can be manufactured in fast turn-around times to meet specific requirements. Extrusions

Here at Martin’s we stock a fantastic range of standard rubber extrusions and can also work with customers to create bespoke profiles and seals to meet specific application requirements. 

 
We work with a wide range of materials including: EPDM (solid and sponge), neoprene, and PVC (with options for flocked and self-adhesive backed finishes available). Profiles may be square and ‘U’ channels, ‘D’ sections and hollow or solid piping, door seals, weatherstrip, draught excluders, self-grip and ‘T’ sections.

Electrical Safety Matting

We also stock large amounts of electrical safety matting and can supply full rolls or cut pieces of matting to suit different requirements. The matting provides users with extra safety measures and features a range of insulation resistance grades; the 450 volt commercial grade provides all-round protection while the 650 volt option offers a higher level of protection. 

 
Customers may also choose to purchase the BS EN 61111 specification matting which supersedes BS921:1976.
