CMP Products specialises in the design and manufacture of cable glands, cable connectors and associated accessories for use in industrial, marine and explosive atmosphere applications. We have an extensive portfolio of products compatible with many industry standard (IEC & NEC) cables and covering virtually all installation requirements. 


As well as a range of standard cable connection products for non-explosive atmospheres, CMP designs and manufactures a complete collection of glands and connectors with Ex d /Ex e Zone 1, Zone 2, Zone 21 and Zone 22 approvals for use in Gas Group IIC environments under CENELEC and IEC Area Classification rules.


We also supply cable connectors for NEC Classified Explosive Atmospheres. These are available for Class I, II and III, Divisions 1 and 2, where Gas Groups A, B, C and D and Dust Groups E, F and G are present. Many of our products hold International Explosive Atmosphere approvals from SIRA, CEPEL, CSA, UL, GOST, NEPSI, TUV and CIDET.

A2F Cable Gland

This is a Triple Certified Flameproof (Type d), Increased Safety (Type e) and Restricted Breathing (Type nR) indoor and outdoor cable gland suitable for use in Zone 1, Zone 2, Zone 21 and Zone 22 areas with un-armoured and braided cables. It is designed to provide a combined flameproof and environmental seal on the cable’s outer sheath. The A2F cable gland ensures full compatibility with restricted breathing equipment that relies on flammable gases being excluded from the main enclosure. Triton 3CDS Cable Gland

The T3CDS is a Triple Certified Flameproof (Type d), Increased Safety (Type e) and Restricted Breathing (Type nR) indoor and outdoor cable gland suitable for use in Zone 1, Zone 2, Zone 21 and Zone 22 areas with all types of armoured cable. It is designed to provide a flameproof seal on the cable inner bedding as well as an environmental seal on the cable outer sheath. The T3CDS cable gland utilises a unique Compensating Displacement Seal (CDS) system which ensures full compatibility with restricted breathing equipment that relies on flammable gases being excluded from the main enclosure. PX2K-REX Cable Gland

The PX2K-REX cable gland from CMP is NEC-approved for Class I installations where Gas Groups A, B, C and D are present. It is also Triple Certified Flameproof (Type d), Increased Safety (Type e) and Restricted Breathing (Type nR) for use with armoured cable in Zone 1, Zone 2, Zone 21 and Zone 22 Explosive Atmospheres. The gland provides a liquid pour resin barrier seal around the cable conductors and an environmental seal on the cable’s outer sheath. PXSS2K-REX Cable Gland

This is an NEC-approved cable gland for use in Class I environments. It is also Triple Certified Flameproof (Type d), Increased Safety (Type e) and Restricted Breathing (Type nR) for use in Zone 1, Zone 2, Zone 21 and Zone 22 Explosive Atmospheres with un-armoured cable. The gland uses a liquid pour sealing method around the cable conductors in order to reduce installation time and costs. It also provides an environmental seal on the cable’s outer sheath. 


The PXSS2K-REX also holds Class I, Zone 1, AEx d IIC, Ex d IIC certification. 


BW Cable Gland

CMP’s BW-type brass indoor cable glands have been designed for use with all types of Single Wire Armour (SWA) cables, providing mechanical cable retention and electrical continuity via the armour wire termination. These products are designed and tested to BS6121:2005 and are manufactured from Brass grade CuZn39Pb3 (CW614N) in accordance with EN 12168. Like all of our glands they have also been EMC Tested.

CW Industrial Cable Gland

CMP’s CW-type brass cable glands are designed to provide an environmental seal on the outer sheath of Single Wire Armour (SWA) cables. The gland also provides mechanical cable retention and electrical continuity via the armour wire termination. Having an amour cone and an AnyWay universal clamping ring arrangement makes disconnection from equipment for maintenance purposes quick and easy. CW-type glands are designed and tested to BS 6121: Part 1 (1989) and are produced from Brass grade CuZn39Pb3 (CW614N) in accordance with EN 12168. They also meet the requirements of EN 50262:1999. Conduit Accessories 737 Adaptor/Reducer

Our Type 737 Thread Conversion Adaptors and Reducers are designed to give you flexibility and versatility in the execution of construction works when the type and size of the gland thread is different from that of the cable entry hole in the equipment. They are available with Male to Female connection threads and can be supplied with thread conversions that either increase or reduce the size or convert the thread type (for example, Metric to NPT or NPT to Metric). Customers can also choose from a range of materials, including brass, aluminium, stainless steel or nylon. Standard industrial and hazardous area versions are available.

EIFW Cable Gland

The E1FW Tri-Star is a Triple Certified Flameproof (Type d), Increased Safety (Type e) and Restricted Breathing (Type nR) cable gland for use in Zone 1, Zone 2, Zone 21 and Zone 22 Explosive Atmospheres with SWA cable. It is designed to provide a flameproof seal on the cable inner bedding as well as a gas tight seal around the cable sheath. A detachable cable cone and an AnyWay clamping ring arrangement makes disconnection for maintenance purposes quick and simple.

CX Cable Gland

Our CX type brass indoor and outdoor cable glands are suitable for use with all types of Wire Braid Armour, Strip Armour, Pliable Wire Armour and Steel Tape Armour cable. They are designed to provide an environmental seal on the cable’s outer sheath as well as to offer cable retention and electrical continuity via the armour wire termination. All glands are designed and tested to BS 6121:Part 1:1980 and are produced from Brass grade CuZn39Pb3 (CW614N) in accordance with EN 12168. A detachable armour cone and AnyWay universal clamping ring allows easy disconnection from equipment for maintenance and change out.

E1U Universal Industrial Cable Gland

The E1U is a universal indoor and outdoor industrial cable gland suitable for use with all types of armoured cable. It provides an environmental seal both on the cable inner bedding and on the cable outer sheath. The gland also offers mechanical cable retention and electrical continuity via the armour wire termination. A reversible armour cone and an AnyWay Universal clamping ring allows you to easily disconnect the cable from the equipment for maintenance and change out. It is designed and tested to BS 6121:Part 1:1980 and is produced from Brass grade CuZn39Pb3 (CW614N) in accordance with EN 12168.

E2U Universal Industrial Cable Gland

The E2U Universal Industrial Cable Gland from CMP has been designed for use with all types of lead sheathed and armoured cables, providing an environmental seal on both the inner lead sheath and the cable outer sheath. It also provides mechanical cable retention and electrical continuity via the armour termination, as well as earth bonding of the inner lead covering or lead sheath. Like many of our cable glands it features an armour cone and an AnyWay clamping ring that allows quick and easy disconnection for maintenance and change out. A2 200 Hex HD Series Cable Gland

The A2 200 is an indoor and outdoor non-metallic Hex Head cable gland suitable for use with all types of un-armoured cable. It is designed to provide an environmental seal on the cable outer sheath. A2 200 cable glands are available in a range of colours and are supplied with a locknut. Standard versions are made with Low Smoke and Fume (LSF) polymeric materials with UL 95 V2 rating. Alternatives are available in Flame Retardant, Low Smoke and Fume and Halogen Free materials with UL 94 V0 rating.

Adaptors & Reducers

CMP offers a complete range of thread conversion adaptors, reducers and associated products suitable for use in industrial, marine and hazardous area applications. By using these instead of modifying the connections in your equipment you can save a considerable amount of time (and therefore money) on installation. 


As well as adaptors and reducers, CMP provides unions, stopper plugs, breather / drain plugs and insulated adaptors. All of the products in the range are available in a variety of metallic and non-metallic materials, and can be supplied in a combination of different thread forms and sizes.

C2K Increased Safety Ex e Cable Gland

The C2K is an Increased Safety (Type e) cable gland suitable for use with all types of armoured cable in Zone 1, Zone 2, Zone 21 and Zone 22 Hazardous Areas. It is designed to provide an environmental seal on the cable outer sheath as well as to provide mechanical cable retention and electrical continuity via the armour wire termination. The gland features a reversible armour cone and an AnyWay clamping ring to make disconnection for maintenance and change out quick and easy.

SS2K Cable Gland

The SS2K Tri-Star from CMP is a Certified Flameproof (Type d), Increased Safety (Type e) and Restricted Breathing (Type nR) indoor and outdoor cable gland suitable for use with un-armoured cables in Zone 1, Zone 2, Zone 21 and Zone 22 Hazardous Areas. It is designed to provide a flameproof seal on the cable's inner sheath (or outer sheath of a single sheathed cable) as well as a secondary environmental seal on the cable's outer sheath. This gland may also be used with braided cables where the sealing is made on the cable overall diameter, providing that this arrangement is permitted by the installation code of practice and that the metallic braid is earthed inside the equipment.
