Acoustic Insulation for New Builds

Cellecta manufactures a range of acoustic insulation products designed to help you comply with Part E of the Building Regulations. These state that all separating floors in new builds must be constructed in such a way as to minimise the transmission of sound between the different parts of a building. This can be achieved in one of two ways. First, by installing one of Cellecta’s PCT products, which require testing after installation to ensure they meet the requirements of the Building Regulations; or second, by installing Robust detail (Rd) compliant products such as Cellecta’s YELOfon HD10+ and Screedboard 28, which do not require testing after installation. Sound Proofing Solutions for Refurb Projects

Cellecta also offers sound proofing solutions suitable for refurbishment projects. These are often used for silencing noisy neighbours and other sources of unwanted sound. All of our materials have been rigorously tested for their ability to reduce airborne and impact sound transmission, thereby significantly improving the occupant’s living conditions. Acoustic Wall Linings

Cellecta has developed two high performance acoustic wall insulation treatments to help improve the acoustic efficiency of existing or new build masonry, timber stud walls and metal frame walls. These are FIBREfon HiGYP 28 and FIBREfon HiGYP 30TM. Both use a combination of high-density HiGYP boards and noise-absorbing FIBREfon boards, ensuring a high level of acoustic performance in both separating and partition walls. Thermal Floor Insulation

Our YELOFOAM X and eco XPS thermal floor insulation boards can be used in a multitude of flooring applications. They benefit from high compressive strength and have a closed cell structure that gives excellent thermal performance in domestic, commercial and industrial environments. Both board types are available in a range of grades to suit different loading conditions and applications from 250 to 700kPa. As well as being incredibly strong and highly efficient, our thermal insulation boards are also water resistant, highly durable and environmentally friendly (being 100% recyclable and fully compliant with the Code for Sustainable Homes).

Thermal Wall Insulation

Cellecta also offers a range of YELOFOAM X and eco XPS wall boards and thermal laminates to help designers and specifiers comply with the stringent requirements of Approved Document L (2010). These offer excellent thermal performance and are highly resistant to water. Being 100% recyclable, they are also environmentally friendly and fully compliant with the Code for Sustainable Homes Pol. 1. Basement Insulation

Cellecta has developed a range of insulation boards designed specifically for basement applications. All of the boards in this range are manufactured from extruded polystyrene and have a high level of compressive strength. A closed cell structure makes them highly resistant to water and gives them excellent long-life thermal efficiency. Customers can choose from a range of grades to suit different loading conditions and applications from 250 to 700kPa. Cellecta’s basement boards are, like many of our insulation materials, 100% recyclable and fully compliant with the Code for Sustainable Homes Pol.1.

Cavity Closers

Our UNICLOSER XCC cavity closers are ideal for various window and door applications. They are available in many standard thicknesses covering most insulation requirements, but can also be custom-manufactured in any thickness ranging from 30-300mm (in 1mm increments) for more specific needs. UNICLOSER XCC cavity closers are designed to eliminate cold bridging around windows and doors. Structural Flooring Insulation

TETRiS is an eco-friendly, super-strong structural flooring alternative to conventional beam and block floors. The blocks sit on and between standard pre-stressed concrete floor beams and are finished with a structural concrete topping. The entire installation process is significantly quicker than with traditional methods/materials, and the finished system achieves much better levels of thermal efficiency – with U-values as low as 0.11 W/m2K. TETRiS has been awarded the highest possible CSH construction rating of A+. The equates to 3 Code credits.

Inverted Roof Insulation

Unlike conventional warm and cold roof constructions, Cellecta’s YELOFOAM X inverted roof insulation is designed to protect the waterproof membrane from the various stresses common to these areas, including freeze-thaw action, solar radiation, damage caused by interstitial condensation, ultra-violet degradation and mechanical damage caused by foot traffic during roof maintenance. It offers outstanding long-life thermal efficiency, is 100% recyclable and can be used in a wide range of domestic, commercial and industrial applications. Pitch Roof Insulation

Insulating the pitch of the roof is one of the most effective ways of improving the thermal efficiency of a building. That’s why Cellecta has developed a range of specialist ventilated and un-ventilated warm roof insulation solutions that give exceptional thermal performance in roof applications. They are available in a range of thicknesses (from 20 to 160mm) with compressive strength ratings of between 250 and 700 kPa. A closed-cell structure makes them highly resistant to water (less than 0.7% water absorption), and being 100% recyclable means they are fully compliant with the Code for Sustainable Homes.

Car Pack Deck Insulation

Cellecta’s closed cell extruded polystyrene insulation boards are the ideal insulation material for car park decks, chiefly because of their excellent compressive strength and thermal efficiency.  YELOFOAM X and eco XPS boards are available in a variety of grades to suit different loading conditions and applications from 250 to 700 kPa. All grades benefit from exceptional long-life thermal performance and very low water absorption, allowing them to be installed above or below the dpm.

Swimming Pool Insulation

Cellecta has developed a complete range of thermal insulation boards designed specifically for swimming pool bases and retaining walls. XPOOL boards benefit from very high compressive strength and very low water absorption, allowing them to be installed below the concrete slab without requiring a damp-proof membrane. They are available in a range of thicknesses to cover most application requirements.
