Products

Founded in 1977 as Ashtree Glass, Ashtree Vision and Safety have grown beyond using glass in 100% of our products. With our range of mirror arms and unbreakable mirrors increasing, we manufactured and distributed more than 50,000 plastic lensed mirrors in 2012, and now only 35% of our products contain glass. We are one of Europe's largest and best established manufacturers of rear view mirrors, safety mirrors, mirror arms and mounting brackets, with visibility solutions for all types of vehicles. Ashtree produces products which address blind spot and visibility issues for vehicles ranging from the smallest electric vehicles and forklifts to earth moving machinery.

Approved to the latest ISO9001:2008 standard, Ashtree is at the forefront of the development and design of visibility solutions that make highways and working environments much safer places.

Our current catalogue can be downloaded in full or as individual product sections from our website. As we add more products to our range, this catalogue will be updated. You can also register for our update service if you wish to be kept up to date with new products.

Main Mirrors - Class II, III

We have a wide range of mirrors to address blind spots and visibility issues, assuring that your vehicles can be operated with safety. Our Class II and Class III main mirrors are large mirrors designed specifically for viewing the road behind the vehicle. These are available with a radius of curvature between 1200mm and 2000mm. Some products are unbreakable mirrors and many are available with heated elements. To see our full range of main mirrors, you can view our full catalogue as a PDF or view only the main mirror section by clicking the heading of this box.

Wide Angle Mirrors - Class IV, V and VI

We also provide mirrors in Class IV, V and VI. Class IV mirrors are wide angle mirrors, Class V mirrors are for over door or kerb use, and Class VI mirrors are front view or over screen mirrors. Our Class IV and V mirrors are particularly popular, having provided many fleets with easy, effective and cost efficient solutions to address the most recent visibility directive. Of particular relevance is the new Ultraview Class VI mirror, which uses clever plastics technology to provide a larger field of vision than a standard glass lens would, eliminating the blind spot under a truck's windscreen.

Unbreakable Mirrors

Our comprehensive range of Ashtree unbreakable mirrors are tested and approved for a variety of types of vehicle. Not only do we cover road going vehicles such as trucks and buses, we have mirrors to suit construction equipment, off highway use and material handling use. Our unbreakable mirrors feature ABS mirror bodies and glass filled nylon clamps, and some are available with heated elements. To see our full range of unbreakable mirrors, you can view the unbreakable mirror section of our catalogue by clicking the heading of this box.

Safety Mirrors

Widely used in the off highway, agricultural, plant and materials handling industries, our range of Ashtree safety mirrors have provided solutions for blind spot elimination on numerous different machines over a period of years. In terms of increasing operator visibility, they have proven very effective when paired with our range of mirror arms. Our safety mirrors range in terms of curvature radius, from 100mm to 450mm, and many come with an unbreakable lens. To see our full range of safety mirrors, you can view the safety mirror section of our catalogue by clicking the heading of this box.

Powered Adjustable Mirrors

When a mirror needs to be adjusted without getting out of the cab, or an operator can't access a mirror, our powered adjustable mirrors can be beneficial. All of our adjustable mirrors come heated, and are either electrically or hand adjusted. The main mirrors come with a radius ranging from 1800mm to 1200mm and flat, and the smaller mirrors have a radius of 300mm. We also provide a 4 way mirror adjustment switch, which can be used to control mirrors on both sides of the cab, and comes with 2 metres of cable. To see our full range of powered adjustable mirrors, you can view the powered adjustable mirror section of our catalogue by clicking the heading of this box.

Interior Mirrors

Our range of interior mirrors can be used as part of an effort to give operators better visibility behind and around vehicles and machines or simply used as standard interior mirrors. They come with radii ranging from 1800mm to 100mm and flat, and have either ABS or steel mirror bodies. Our S1230 universal mirror arm can be used to create your custom interior mirror, with most Ashtree mirrors being suitable for the 19mm diameter tube. This die-cast bracket can be mounted horizontally or vertically, adjusted and then locked into position with the turn of a screw. To see our full range of interior mirrors, you can view the interior mirror section of our catalogue by clicking the heading of this box.

Mirror Arms

Our range of mirror arms are designed to suit various applications, and all of them have many adjustment points, which allows them to be mounted with optimum visibility in mind. While most mirrors adjust in 45 degree increments, our S900 range adjust in 20 degree increments, meaning that they are better for mounting mirrors in the correct position than any other design. They have also been used in the construction equipment industry due to their strong, durable design. The latest range of Ashtree mirror arms is the S1500 style, which have lockable screws to prevent theft, and can be provided with wiring for heated or electrically adjusted mirrors.

Heating Elements

Our mirror heating elements have proven popular with drivers and operators, with our range of traditional elements and heavy duty elements, designed for use in tough environments. The design of the elements is exclusive to Ashtree Glass and is the most durable on the market. While other elements may suffer from a “striping” effect, our elements heat up the whole surface, as the current flows through carbon impregnated glasscloth. In addition, there are no fine circuits that could be easily damaged. In fact, a hole could be drilled through the element and the current would flow around it, providing the copper electrodes were undamaged.
