The Lifetime Management of Materials (incorporating the National Corrosion service) is based at the National Physical laboratory in Teddington and provides impartial advice to UK-based organisations on in-service deterioration of a wide range of structural materials, now including polymers, composites, adhesives and ceramics. Providing a gateway to expertise on all failure mechanisms affecting materials during operation, including high temperature phenomena, fatigue, overload and wear, as well as corrosion.
