SCDC are looking for a suitably qualified contractor to undertake Security and Front of house services at SCDC's Cambourne Offices until 31/03/2020.

SCDC moved to its main offices in May 2004 and the building is inhabited by approximately 450 SCDC staff as well as tenants from collocated organisations.

The main building is a modern elegant design that has both character and prestige. It is the venue for SCDC's Council meetings and is visited, by a large number of people for meetings, hearings, enquiries and general advice.

The building comprises of 3 floors and is an "H" shaped design. It has a card access system to secure areas, security alarms and some secure rooms (post room, print room and server room).

SCDC has approximately 26,000 visitors and holds approximately 5700 meetings per annum at its Cambourne Offices.

The services are to include:

• locking and unlocking the building at agreed times (likely to be 6.30 am to 8.30 pm Monday to Friday) and building surveillance to highlight anything suspicious and report to Authorised Officer of the Authority.

• Caretaker support services such as meeting room preparations (reconfigure room furniture, replace consumables, clear away cups/glasses), basic health and safety checks.

• Front of house meet and greet support, directing visitors to the appropriate meeting rooms, sign posting where council events are taking place, assisting the Customer Services team in reducing waiting times at reception. These services are required during the hours of (8.00 am to 5.30pm). Reception presence during this time in the public area.

• Door supervisors services during the hours of (8.00 am to 5.30pm). Monitoring the CCTV and monitoring and responding to two way radio communications. Required to be the authorised key holder and respond to alarm activations (that may occur out of hours). Guarding of premises, guarding of property and guarding of one of more individuals. In addition provide support to officers when interviewing individuals.

It would be desirable for the door supervisor to have first aid training.

Provide advice and guidance on security at SCDC drawing on their experience to advise on appropriate improvements.
