Description

South Cambridgeshire District Council (SCDC) are looking for a suitably qualified and experienced contractor to undertake Toilet, Washroom and Kitchenette Refurbishment works at South Cambridgeshire Hall, Cambourne Business Park, Cambourne, Cambridgeshire CB23 6EA. The Cambourne Offices are the home of SCDC and at the time of its opening in 2004 the building was celebrated as a landmark building. Over the years the building has had an extensive number of visitors and the building is starting to show some signs of wear. In particular, the building's toilets, washroom and kitchenette areas create a poor impression of the building and so refurbishment work is now required to address their appearance.

SCDC is looking to adopt a phased approach to the works, with Phase 1 being a definite project with the options for Phase 2, to Phase 5 over the next year at SCDC's discretion. SCDC reserves the right to vary the phases or re-prioritise.

The key priorities are 1 and 2 (by Christmas 2019 other phases by agreement)

Phase 1) Core Building Toilet/Washroom refurbishment x 6

Phase 2) Kitchenette Refurbishment x 2

Phase 3) Public Access Areas Toilet/Washroom refurbishment x 6

Phase 4) Changing Rooms/Shower/Washroom refurbishment x 2

Optional Phase 5) Additional Kitchenette x 1

The total budget available to undertake Phases 1 to 4 is in the range of £130k to £150k. Bids outside this upper range will be automatically rejected. SCDC will undertake phases 1 and 2, however SCDC reserves the right not to undertake the additional phases.
