Description

Leidos has an enduring requirement for the supply of a range of tools and power tools for the MoD and intends to invite tenders with a view to awarding Contracts that are targeted to commence in the first half of 2018. Team Leidos will invite tenders, to cover all or part of, a range of approximately 6500 to 9500 tools and around 500 powered tools. Please note that this number could be subject to change, and is purely for indicative purposes at this time. These products will cover land, aviation & marine products including, but not limited to the following:

• Power tools - Electric, Petrol & Pneumatic

• Taps & Dies

• Spanners & Spanner Sets

• Screwdrivers

• Hammers

• Chisels

• Wrenches

• Workshop Tools

Leidos may give the end-user the choice, via e-catalogue, of both premium and economy tools from which to choose, dependent on the specific nature of the application.

As part of the planned procurement, Leidos will also require an e-catalogue solution to enable the end users to place orders directly with the successful supplier(s). This would either be operated using a Leidos e-catalogue, or through Leidos' use of supplier(s) existing e-catalogue solutions probably via an Electronic Data Interchange (EDI).

In order to test the ability of Industry to be able to deliver this requirement Team Leidos may hold an Industry Day, Without Commitment, prior to the issue of any future tender. Any organisation requiring additional information or wishing to participate in the Industry Day should contact Leidos by e-mail using the point(s) of contact within this bulletin. Non-participation in the Industry Day will not be taken into account in any future procurement activities or preclude any organisation from submitting a tender in any future competition. Leidos will not meet any costs incurred participating in the Industry Day.

This Prior Information Notice is not a means to submit a formal expression of interest in respect of any potential Tender. Any resultant requirement will be subject to the EU Public Procurement Regulations and respective advertising action.
