Description

The Pensions Ombudsman Supplier Event: Thursday 22 June 2017 (10:45am- 3pm), 11Belgrave Road, London, SW1V 1RB.

The Pensions Ombudsman (TPO) would like to ascertain market interest for its potential requirements for an IT Managed Service and is keen to engage suppliers at an early stage and obtain expressions of interest from suppliers who wish to participate in a future procurement. TPO is holding a Supplier Event in London on 22 June 2017, where more strategic context will be shared with interested suppliers, to better illustrate TPO's requirements as part of market engagement as well as provide an overview of the procurement process.

TPO is considering advertising an exciting opportunity to appoint a single supplier to provide an IT Managed Service for TPO that fits with its Digitalisation Strategy, vision and future business state. TPO plans to advertise an official Contract Notice in the Official Journal of the European Union for the opportunity in July 2017.

TPO is an independent organisation set up by law to investigate complaints about pension administration. TPO is a Non Departmental Public Body, sponsored by the Department for Work and Pensions. TPO has a team of around sixty people who deal with enquiries, investigate complaints and administer the business.

TPO has organised its proposed service requirements into 10 high level service headings: Platform; IDaam; Desktop; Hardware and Software;Telephony; Supporting and Reporting; Migration; Integration; Governance and Innovation, which are intended to allow for a natural grouping of business needs to ensure that the future service encompasses the full scope.

TPO will relocate to a new Government Hub, E14, in April 2018. This means that the new service provider will be required to deliver services in the existing dedicated office (SW1V 1RB) and at the appropriate point switch these services over to the new site (E14). It is currently proposed that the core contract length will be 2 years with an option to extend by a further 2 years in yearly intervals at the discretion of TPO. Current estimate is that the service will be required up to a gross value of 1.44m in total (i.e. 360,000 per annum x 4 years).

TPO may alert certain suppliers of which it is aware about the Supplier Event on 22 June 2017. This is one of a number of ways in which TPO is seeking to raise awareness of the event and the contract opportunity. Any supplier that might be contacted directly does not have a privileged position in relation to the contract opportunity, as any contract award will be based on the objective outcome of a procurement process.

Should you be interested in attending the Supplier Event (maximum of 2 people from each organisation), please contact [email protected] by Friday 16 June 2017, providing the names of each person attending. Please note, this Early Engagement Notice is not a call for competition and does not act as formal notification of an upcoming opportunity.
