1739/333/MY/MG/17 5 Axis Milling Machine

The University of Sheffield wishes to invite tenders for a 5 Axis Milling Machine on behalf of the Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre, Machining Group at Catcliffe, South Yorkshire.

This tender is for the supply, installation and commissioning of a 5-axis milling machine for use in tool wear, coolant, and machining studies. The equipment will be used for testing and demonstration purposes in the AMRC's Factory of the Future. The equipment should have the ability to machine numerous materials from the aerospace, automotive and other high value manufacturing industries; including Titanium, Nickel based alloys and high strength steel, etc. The equipment will also support the AMRC's fundamental research into technologies such as machinability, dynamics and process monitoring.
