Description

The Personal Education Plan (PEP) is part of a looked after child's care plan and is jointly written and owned by the young person, the school and the local authority. In Herefordshire, the Virtual School for Looked After Children is responsible for ensuring that each child has a PEP which is of high quality and completed meets statutory guidance. In addition, the PEP records how pupil premium for looked after children is used to raise attainment. It can be used to enable the academic progress of the child to be monitored.

The requirement is for an Internet based database system which enables the young person and all professionals to have secure remote access to an online document to which they can make a contribution. Due to the urgent nature of the requirement the council is looking for systems that have already been developed and successfully implemented in other local authorities for a similar purpose. The Council is NOT looking for a bespoke system to be developed.
