Watermiser are a cooling tower manufacturer based in Ayrshire in Scotland. They were established in 1971, with the aim of producing robust, reliable, cooling towers with an extended operating life.
It was quickly realised that sheet steel as a material of construction could not meet this objective. The company turned to manufacture in glass reinforced plastic (GRP), a material that is completely non-corroding, inert to attack by aggressive water treatment chemicals, and maintenance free.
Design and manufacturing methods have been developed utilising latest techniques. This, together with a unique method of GRP casing production that ensures high and consistent quality, has made Watermiser the leading forced draught GRP cooling tower manufacturer in the UK.
In 1993 Watermiser bought Thermotank Ltd, a cooling tower manufacturer who has many units installed in the UK and all over the world. Watermiser continue to provide technical support, with many spares and replacement parts for Thermotank towers remaining available.
Watermiser also have a wealth of experience in water cooling applications and can offer a design and installation service for complete systems, including pipework, valves, pumps, heat exchangers and filtration equipment.
Where existing cooling towers are to be replaced, Watermiser specialise in carrying out the complete project, i.e. disconnecting, dismantling and removing the existing units, supplying and installing the new (including all necessary craneage), and making good pipework etc.
Although predominantly an evaporative cooling tower manufacturer, Watermiser also supply closed circuit packages, dry air coolers (with adiabatic option), water chillers, and a range of heavy duty GRP process water tanks.
