Products

Established in Wakefield in 1996, UTN has been delivering safety and skills training courses for almost 20 years. In that time we have become a leading provider of specialist training to businesses and government agencies throughout the UK, focussing not only on the advancement of technical skills in the construction sector but also on health, safety and personal development across other areas of industry.

The company was initially set up to meet a specific need within the construction sector for employees of public utilities companies and their contractors to receive adequate training for compliance with the New Roads & Street Works Act 1991 (NRSWA). Following the success of this specific training, UTN expanded its product offering to include a range of general skills and safety courses which could be applied across multiple industries.

Today we have a complete portfolio of accredited training programmes delivered by experienced trainers at specialist facilities in our home town of Wakefield and elsewhere. Since joining the AFI group of companies in August 2012 we have also been able to deliver our courses via the AFI network of depots. This gives our customers access to 21 training centres serving all major UK cities. 2013 saw us train over 16,500 delegates all over the country.

You can find out more about our construction skills and safety training courses in the sections below and on our website. If you have any questions or would like to enquire about a specific course, please do not hesitate to contact our helpful, friendly customer service team.
