Temperature Sensors

TMS manufacture a large selection of temperature probes and sensors that work at various temperatures enabling them to be used in many applications across a spectrum of industries.  We mainly produce thermocouples, resistance thermometers in addition to being able to make bespoke temperature probes to meet customer requirements and with optional calibration under our UKAS accreditation.  We are also the official UK and EIRE agent for leading industrial infrared system manufacturer DIAS Infrared. We also sell RTD cable and temperature sensor accessories. Our thermocouple welders have many uses, including being ideal for welding thermocouples to metal surfaces or forming junctions which can be done both onsite or in the workshop.

Hand Held Thermometers

We have a comprehensive stock of hand held digital instruments available, many of which can be UKAS calibrated. Our digital thermometers with thermocouples and RTD’s can be used for measuring temperatures as can our range of non contact infrared thermometers and portable thermal imaging cameras. We also stock hygrometers and moisture metres for measuring humidity. We are stockists of the Alemo range of instruments, which can be UKAS calibrates to ensure they have virtually no measurement error. Additionally, we can complete your system with temperature sensors and digital thermometers.

Data Loggers & Acquisition

Data logging can cover a broad range of measuring variables and there are many solutions on offer. TMS can supply hand-held instruments, self contained in house processes units, wireless (radio frequency) monitoring systems, and PC connected data acquisition units. This equipment can be used to monitor temperature, humidity, pressure, CO² and other gases, as well as electrical variables in relation to energy monitoring. We are able to offer UKAS calibration on many of our data loggers and for some systems we can even supply a complete system that includes calibrated temperature sensors. Furthermore our product selection includes other data acquisition systems; recorders and Eurotherm temperature recorders, including the Eurotherm 5000B Data Acquisition Unit.

Calibration Equipment

TMS manufacture, sell and hire a large variety of calibration equipment. Our thermocouple calibrators, RTD calibrators and mA loop calibrators can be used for all kinds of calibrating functions. For calibrating temperate probes, TMS manufacture our own range of Dry Well Block Calibrators, which offer incredible accuracy. Our selection of both small, hand held and larger portable models, with an impressive temperature range of 400°C with sub zero models that can go down to -20°C. For probes of differing sizes we have both Block Calibrators and UBC models that accommodate different probes by using interchangeable sleeves. TMS’s Portable Calibration Tube Furnace calibrates thermocouples of up to 1100°C. UKAS calibration comes are standard on some models and for others it is an optional extra.

Process Controllers & Recorders

For process control and monitoring applications, we carry a selection of digital temperature controllers, indicators and recorders and TMS are a trusted distributor of well known brands including ABB, Eurotherm, CAL, Omron and West. We are able to offer our customers a complete process control and measurement solution that includes cases and enclosures to mount our instruments on, as well as SSRs, thyristors and relays; and other accessories .Our product knowledge is outstanding and we can offer full technical support and advice on all of our products.

Relays, Contactors & SSR's

TMS can supply various industrial relay and contactor models including products from Omron and Finder, which are primarily used for switching mains voltage loads. Our long lasting, durable Solid State Relays (SSR’s) from well known manufacturers Omron, Eurotherm and Siemens are suitable for fast switching of loads. They produce no audible sound and have less electrical interference as they have no moving parts. SSR’s can be controlled using a temperature controller with a SSR output.

Furnaces & Ovens

Our many years of specialist experience have given us at TMS an unrivalled knowledge of virtually ever type of electrical oven or furnace used in modern laboratories and fro industrial use. We can offer our customers a superb choice at competitive prices that includes both our own collection of products as well as SNOL, who are the largest manufacturer of laboratory and small production furnaces and ovens in Europe. As part of our service we can manufacture and repair material testing furnaces which includes creep test furnaces, as well as being able to offer temperature control systems for all types of specialist applications. More over we are to supply high performance models that can be customised and certified to meet AMS 2750E and RPS 953 specifications that are required by the aerospace industry.

Ceramics & Refractories

For the thermocouples and resistance thermometers that we sell, TMS stock a huge selection of different ceramic protection sheaths. We also carry ceramic tubes for various applications as well as ceramic crucibles of varying types and in capacities ranging from 25ml to 2.9L. Many of these items are available with the option of next d ay delivery.
