Titanium Products Ltd offers a range of water heaters which are manufactured using our titanium components by the Backer Electric Company Ltd, one of the leaders in its field. Backersafe models are produced in line with the latest issue of BS EN 60335-2-74 to ensure that the immersion heater is isolated from the mains supply in the event of thermostat failure. They feature a standard low cost thermostat with an additional reset button thermostat in series with the rod thermostat - if the primary thermostat fails, a low cost replacement can be fitted and the protected thermostat reset.

Titanium sheathed water heating elements have a superior thermal performance than their nickel or copper counterparts, particularly in hard water areas. Trials recently completed by the University of Wolverhampton and WatStech have suggested that titanium heaters can provide energy savings of at least 6%. When it comes to electric water heating, it is clear that in hard or corrosive water areas titanium sheathed elements should be considered for new boiler designs and as replacement parts.
