Electric Thermal Fluid Heaters

We supply electric thermal fluid heaters with outputs ranging from 12kW to 2MW. All of our models offer precise temperature control, low flux rates and a fast response time. Electric thermal fluid heaters are suitable for operation in Electrically Safe Areas or in Zone 1 and Zone 2 Hazardous Areas. Heating elements are arranged in standard enclosed bundles which are usually connected in series to provide a defined flow through each bundle. This predictable flow path, together with the low watt elements, ensures trouble-free operation and an extended element life.

Bertrams Heatec Heaters

TFS is an approved UK supplier of fluid heaters designed by Bertrams Heatec, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of heat transfer equipment.  These time proven systems utilise a twin coil design for high efficiency and feature a large combustion chamber to ensure a long fluid life. They are available with outputs ranging from 250kW to 32MW, and are suitable for operation in both liquid and vapour phases at temperatures up to 400°C.

Low Temperature Chilling Units

TFS supplies a number of skid-mounted, low temperature chiller packages for fluid temperatures down to -80°C. These temperatures are achieved using liquid nitrogen within a specially designed spiral heat exchanger. A single chilling unit can supply several vessels via a suitably designed TCU. Controls may be incorporated within the overall process control via a microprocessor or DCS. Nitrogen cooled chillers have a simple, low maintenance design with no moving parts and emit very minimal amounts of noise/vibration. They have been designed for safe operation in hazardous areas.

Thermal Control Units

We have designed and developed a range of modular Thermal Control Units (TCUs) which can be assembled according to customer requirements. These are commonly used for heating, cooling or chilling process vessels on batch processing installations found within the fine chemical and pharmaceutical industries. Our TCUs are designed for operation with single heat transfer fluids and are made to comply with a number of design and manufacturing criteria in order to guarantee their performance in operation. All models are fully tested prior to despatch and come with full QA documentation.

Troubleshooting
