We are a family run business and each member of our team can offer specialist knowledge and technical expertise. We are able to manage orders of all sizes from single items to in excess of 10,000 parts in all materials and grades. We pride ourselves on our superb customer service and we provide our customers with a fast, reliable, efficient turnaround of our superior quality products.
.Whether you are looking for standard grade Stainless Steels and Aluminium or require a specialist grade, then Specialist Laser Products are here to help. We keep both 304 and 316 grade Stainless Steel in stock, which is available in a number of different finishes depending upon your requirements, and we work with a range of local suppliers to obtain alternative grades such as 430, 310, 321 and 3cr12. For Aluminium, our stock includes grades 1050 to 6082 T6. Our advanced laser cutting machines can easily carry out precise and detailed work to Stainless Steel of 0.5mm to 20mm thickness and Aluminium of 0.9mm to 12mm thick.
Laser cutting of spring steel and 420 Stainless Steel is one of SLP’s fortes and we have a loyal customer base that draw on our experience and capabilities to fabricate parts for items such as surgical instruments, knives, food processing blades and circular saws. Spring Steel can be supplied in thicknesses of 0.3mm to 4mm in laser cut Cold Rolled Steel strip form, which has been bright hardened, as well as CS95, CS80 and 75Cr1. Or Hot Rolled Steel strip in thicknesses of 1.8mm to 8.3mm is available in 75Cr1 or 80Crv2. If you require a Stainless Steel that affords corrosive resistance properties or one that is particularly hard wearing, then we recommend 420 which is available in strips, as cold rolled sheets or as cross rolled sheets – please see our website for further information.
When looking for Stainless Steel for use in applications such as tooling, you need steel that is durable and one that can offer high performance. SLP only procures its steel from suppliers who we trust and who hold the appropriate material analysis certification so that our customers are assured of the best quality materials. The heat treated steels we supply offer a uniformed hardness resulting in excellent performance characteristics and reliability. Materials available include: M2 (Werkstoff 1.3343), D2 (1.2379), 440B Stainless (1.4112), O1 (1.2510), L3 (1.2067), 420 Stainless (1.4034) and Chipper (1.2360), the majority of which come in thicknesses of 1mm to 12.5mm.
Our customers use SLP’s general and structural steels in a variety of different applications, including agricultural, construction, renewables and machinery and our capacity to maintain adequate stock levels ensures we are able to dispatch supplies in a timely manner, allowing us to better meet those unexpected short timelines that often occur. We have extensive experience cutting S275 JR and S355 JR steels and can also work with mild steels that have been tested up to S355 J2+N as required, all in thicknesses of 3mm to 25mm. For applications that require thinner steels, we are able to both supply and cut Cr4 which is available in thicknesses of 0.9mm to 3mm.
SLP removes the hassle from managing different parts of the sheet metal fabrication process by offering an extensive sub-contract manufacturing service, which covers a number of different areas including:
We have built excellent relationships with many local businesses who are experts in these fields and would be happy to provide you with a quote should these secondary processes be of interest to you.
SLP has chosen its state-of-the-art laser cutting machines based on their ability to offer speed without compromising on quality – resulting in a high quality end product that can be delivered to our customers quickly. The machines we have at our disposal are:
These machines enable us to cut thicknesses of up to 25mm and we are pleased to be able to accommodate customers with one-off or large volume requirements.
