Our plastic shims are manufactured to cope with working temperatures of between 60OC to 110OC and have a compressive strength of 8,000 to 25,000lbs of force psi. By fabricating shims from plastic, retention of thickness and smoothness is achievable under normal working conditions, plus they are the perfect solution for oil seals as the oil will not penetrate the plastic shim. We offer two standard sheet sizes, 6”x24” and 12”x24”, in a range of thicknesses from 0.001” to 0.060”, each thickness having its own colour to assist with easy identification.

Our machining facilities enable us to offer our customers an affordable solution to the manufacture of prototypes and small component runs when new press tooling is cost prohibitive. We are also able to supply strips of solid raw materials.
We are able to manufacture gaskets to order in an extensive range of materials, including: rubber, PTFE, Perspex, asbestos fibres, vulcanised fibres, corrugated paper, nylon, both rigid and soft PVC polypropylene, polystyrene, melinex and cork.
Our filters can be manufactured in a wide range of materials and will be made bespoke to your exact specifications. We can produce plain, metal rimmed and solder edge filters from woven wire or perforated sheet in a variety of different materials to suit your requirements, including stainless steel, phosphor bronze, brass, aluminium, monel, copper, steel.
Our engineers have access to state-of-the-art toolroom facilities ensuring our clients receive the very best service. Our turnaround time for new tooling is typically only 3 to 4 weeks from the receipt of an order and, as you would expect, we also undertake customer maintained tooling.
