Solar Kits

Our solar kits have been created to save the time that would otherwise be needed to search for components. The range of solar thermal components includes the flat plate collector which has a highly selective absorber for high efficiency throughout the year, hot water cylinders with two heat exchanger coils for use with solar collectors and another heat source, support assembly, accessories including fittings, expansion vessel and heat carrier, control unit with heat sensors and more. Solar Water Cylinders

Our solar water cylinders are available in three different ranges that are designed to suit different requirements.

SN range: the SN range features a single coil heat exchanger.

SON range: the SON range features two coils and can use two external sources of heat such as a biomass boiler and solar thermal evacuated tubes. Available sizes include 150, 200, 300, 400, 500, 750, 1000 and 1500 and can be laid vertically or horizontally.

SWP range: the SWP range features high efficiency heat exchanges suitable for heat pumps. Available sizes include 150, 200, 300, 400 and 500l with a single coil and 300, 400 and 500l with a double coil.

Pump station and water cylinder

Our pump station and water cylinder system is designed to save component purchase and installation costs. The pre-assembled kit features a water heater with a twin line solar station and is available in volumes of 200, 300, 400 or 500 litres. Other features include a return line with ball valve and adjustable non-return valve, temperature indication on the flow and return lines, flowmeter with scale, safety assembly with pressure gauge and relief valve, fill/ drain for filling and flushing of the system, outer casing in RAL 9006, magnesium anode for cathodic corrosion protection in enamelled models, thermometer gauge, thermoregulator and more.

Biomass heating systems

We are pleased to provide Burnit, Biomass heating systems. These systems are manufactured by the NES brand and feature MCS accredited pellet boilers, MCS accredited wood burning boilers (WBS and WBS active) as well as Pyroburn gasification and wood pellet burners that convert between standard and wood pellet boilers. Burnit Pelleburn is easy to install and features straightforward menus for easy operation. Available models include 15kW, 28kW and 40kW featuring fully automated operation, hi-tech design, two fans to assist the combustion process and automatic self-cleaning. Efficiency rates reach 94%, tested on a variety of pellets.

Wood Pellet Boilers – Pelleburn

Our Pelleburn wood pellet boilers feature fully automated operation, hi-tech design, two fans to assist the combustion process, automatic self-cleaning mechanism, fuel hopper with alternative mounting to the left or right hand side of the boiler, exhaust gas sensor, CPU controller with LED display for precise handling of the combustion and safety devices including the CPU controller to alert in case of abnormal rises in temperature and STB thermostat which reacts to increased operating temperature and shuts the fan down. Wood Burning Boilers Burnit WBS active

The WBS Active is a fantastic wood burning boiler with nominal output from 20 – 110kW to suit different customer requirements. The tough and robust models in this range are manufactured for burning solid fuel and to allow the option of fitting pellet burners. The WBS Active features an intelligent controller and electric fan for forced air feed, combustion chamber with large heat exchanging surface and low chamber resistance, large firebox door for easy loading, ribbed chamber surface and three pass flue gas flow for improved heat exchange, burner flange on lower door for pellet burners and exchangeable metallic ash grate to protect the chamber base from the flame.

Wood burning boilers WBS

The WBS range includes boilers with nominal outputs from 20 to 110kW to suit different customer requirements. These steel wood-fired boilers are designed and manufactured to burn solid fuel and allow the option of fitting pellet, oil or gas-fired burners. The WBS range of wood burning boilers features combustion chambers with large heat exchanging surface and low chamber resistance, large firebox door for easy loading, ribbed chamber surface and three-pass flue gas flow for improved heat exchange, burner flange on lower door for fitting gas, oil and pellet burners, pressure relief valve and safety devices including thermostatic draught regulator, pressure relief valve and safety heat evacuator.

Off grid power systems

Where a photovoltaic plant acts as a sole energy source it is often referred to as autonomous or an off-grid system. Off-grid power systems are widely used to supply power in places that are beyond the reach of power supply operators. Our kits are customisable to suit specific requirements. They are available from 1 kW to 3.68 kW. When choosing an off-grid photovoltaic kit the summary wattage of the consumers, the time of operation of the consumers and the site location should be considered. Billboards

The Sunsystem photovoltaic kit is designed for lighting billboards during the night. Each kit is capable of operating for up to three days without any direct sunlight and features a PV module, charge controller, maintenance-free batteries and LED lamps. Street lights

We also offer solar street lamps powered by mono or polychrystalline solar modules which are connected to the system with maintenance-free batteries, LED lights and the CPU controller to track the battery performance and light source.

The use of solar street lamps offers a range of benefits such as low-cost, ditch-free installation, quick and easy setup, no electricity bills, trusted technology, no connection to the power supply grid and 25 years of running time. 

Buffer Stores

We offer a range of buffer stores/ accumulation tanks in a range of sizes including 300, 500, 800, 1000, 1500 and 2000 litres. Optional internal coils as heat exchangers can be used to link to different heat sources and models in the range are available with 0, 1 or 2 coils. Buffer stores are used to store hot water for heating and save on running costs. Alongside our standard range, we also offer cutting edge models which feature thermal stores, domestic hot water on demand, heat recovery or solar pump set integration.

Alongside our standard product ranges we are pleased to be able to provide a bespoke service whereby we can tailor existing models or create new models from scratch to suit specific requirements. COMMERCIAL SOLAR HOT WATER TANKS – CASE STUDY

Solar thermal installation at Dame Allan’s First School in Newcastle was carried out by Geowarmth, an accredited installer of renewable technologies, and was initiated as part of The Renewable Heat Incentive. This incentive is in place to offer a payment per unit of heat that is produced using renewable technology. The installation featured 180 evacuated tubes which produced enough hot water to preheat our Sunsystem SON 1000 litre twin coil cylinder.
