Qualitetch provides subcontract engineering services for clients across all industries. We specialise in chemical etching, stamping, forming, machining, wire erosion and laser cutting, but can also carry out a range of added value processes such as soldering, assembly work, welding, plating and finishing.
Qualitetch have been providing manufacturing solutions for nearly 20 years, and in that time we have continually improved our services and expanded our engineering capacity so that we’re more able to handle our customers’ requirements. Our ‘can-do’ attitude has earned us contracts with customers from all industries and has cemented our reputation as one of the most flexible, customer-focussed engineering companies in the UK.
We are also renowned for short lead times, excellent customer communication and, most of all, quality services. At Qualitetch we take great pride in the quality of our engineering solutions.

We operate a well-equipped, dedicated form room, staffed by an expert and experienced team, ensuring that our world-wide reputation as a leader in component manufacturing is always maintained. With our in-house tool-making facility, we design and produce tooling arrangements for jobs of all sizes – from small batches all the way through to multi-stage die sets for complex forms and for high volumes. We undertake a comprehensive range of processes, including heat treatment, plating, passivation, anodising or painting. You can be assured that our vast experience in this field, along with constant attention to detail, will guarantee you a product that is of the highest quality. At the same time you will be offered consistently cost-effective solutions that are best suited to your particular requirements.
Our state-of-the-art chemical etching facilities enable us to produce burr and stress-free acid-etched blanks extremely quickly and cost-effectively – with tolerances starting at ±0.010mm (depending on the material type and thickness). The etching chemicals we use can pierce hardened materials equally as effectively as annealed grades and nothing in the etching process will affect the RoHS compliance of your end products. Acid etching is one of the most effective ways of producing intricate shapes in a variety of materials. Materials that do not lend themselves to chemical etching can instead be processed by wire erosion, laser cutting or component machining. More information on these services can be found in the sections below.
Here at Qualitetch, we are pleased to produce fine quality parts and components using silver etching processes. Our highly skilled and experienced team produces a wide range of silver-etched products, many of which are in line with extremely intricate designs. The etching process itself is much the same as the etching process using other metals, however, silver reacts with many chemicals, so we use a special chemical etchant called Ferric Nitrate which enables us to produce fantastic quality products. Alongside our silver etching service, we can also plate and finish products that have already been manufactured from other materials. Please get in touch with your requirements to find out more.
We are also pleased to produce parts and components using steel and steel variants such as mild steel and carbon steel. Steel is an incredibly popular material to work with due to its range of durable and resilient properties. We create etched steel parts for customers in a range of industries including automotive, aerospace, electronics and telecommunications. The steel etching process is highly accurate and parts can be processed in fast turnaround times to meet customer demand. Parts can be plated or finished to meet customer requirements. Please visit our website to find out more, or contact us directly at Qualitetch to discuss your requirements.
To complement our chemical etching services, we also carry out EDM wire erosion. This enables us to manufacture thin gauge metal components to specific tolerances and dimensions. Our EDM wire erosion processing facilities enable us to work with materials that are unsuitable for photo etching. To find out more about EDM wire erosion, or how we can help you, please head over to our website, or contact our friendly team at Qualitetch for more information.
Customers are reminded that we have a fully equipped tool room in which we can offer a full range of machining services. These machining services include the production of standard form tools as well as completely bespoke components. It is worth noting that we can also offer a tap wiring service, if required. For further information, please visit the website or you can contact us directly by phone or email.
We also offer a metal stamping facility, which is more suited to volume work of parts once they are finalised for production after the initial prototype stage. Offering this service means that customers effectively have a “one-stop shop” for both flat and formed metal components, as parts can be proved off using chemical etching processes and if suitable can be volume run for main production. Find out more about our metal stamping services by visiting Qualitetch online.
CNC laser cutting is an ideal forming technique for situations where etching is unsuitable (when using certain materials, for example). It’s quick, cost-effective, and will produce parts with comparable tolerances to etching but in almost any material. Laser cutting also allows larger parts to be processed – sheets of up to 1500 x 3000mm can be cut, and in various thicknesses. CNC laser cutting is a useful addition to our portfolio of services and means that Qualitetch is the only company you need speak to for your total metal component solution.
Qualitetch can also now offer a range of plating and finishing services. Plating services include:
Finishes available include:
Here at Qualitetch, we are pleased to deliver a wide range of screening and enclosure products that are manufactured using processes such as photo etching, metal stamping, CNC machining, wire erosion and laser cutting. We work with most metals and all metal enclosures can be finished with tin plating, silver plating gold plating, nickel plating, anodising, alocrom and more. Parts can also be processed with pins for PCB fixings or castellated features. Whether you require processing for small or large-scale projects we are sure to be able to meet your needs.
More and more customers are now looking to consolidate their supplier base by finding vendors that can offer all the subcontract services they need under one roof – thus saving valuable manufacturing time and ensuring quality is maintained throughout the process. Through continual investment in its plant, people and processes, Qualitetch has been able to meet this demand. Whether it’s soldering, welding, spot welding, assembly work or bespoke packaging, Qualitetch can offer manufacturing solutions to meet your needs.
Qualitetch is proud to provide customers with first class photo etching services using a wide range of materials. Whether you require actuators, elements, springs, pins, meshes, dials, shims, or any other type of component, we have the experience and facilities to meet your needs. We work closely with our customers to deliver bespoke components of the highest quality using etching methods that meet your requirements.
We can work with our customers to provide a completely tailored solution for their engineering issues. This design for manufacture service is carried out by our experienced design team who have worked with many different types of client. It is also worth noting that we can offer alternative solutions other than the complete design for manufacture service including consultation and specialist advice. If you would like any more information please visit the website or you can contact our customer service team directly.
Qualitetch engineers regularly carry out a range of general toolroom procedures such as grinding, polishing, heat treatment, welding, drilling and reaming. These are all part of our manufacturing capacity.
We are also able to handle a wide range of materials, including aluminium, beryllium copper, brass, copper, Kovar, molybdenum, mild steel, Monel, phosphor bronze, silver, spring steel, stainless steel and titanium.
