Photo Chemical Etching - Visit our website

Our state-of-the-art chemical etching facilities enable us to produce burr and stress-free acid-etched blanks extremely quickly and cost-effectively – with tolerances starting at ±0.010mm (depending on the material type and thickness). The etching chemicals we use can pierce hardened materials equally as effectively as annealed grades and nothing in the etching process will affect the RoHS compliance of your end products. Acid etching is one of the most effective ways of producing intricate shapes in a variety of materials. Materials that do not lend themselves to chemical etching can instead be processed by wire erosion, laser cutting or component machining. More information on these services can be found in the sections below.

Component Forming - Visit our website

We operate a well-equipped, dedicated form room, staffed by an expert and experienced team, ensuring that our world-wide reputation as a leader in component manufacturing is always maintained.  With our in-house tool-making facility, we design and produce tooling arrangements for jobs of all sizes – from small batches all the way through to multi-stage die sets for complex forms and for high volumes.  We undertake a comprehensive range of processes, including heat treatment, plating, passivation, anodising or painting.  You can be assured that our vast experience in this field, along with constant attention to detail, will guarantee you a product that is of the highest quality.  At the same time you will be offered consistently cost-effective solutions that are best suited to your particular requirements.

EDM Wire Erosion - Visit our website

To complement our chemical etching services, we also carry out EDM wire erosion. This enables us to manufacture thin gauge metal components to specific tolerances and dimensions. Our EDM wire erosion processing facilities enable us to work with materials that are unsuitable for photo etching. To find out more about EDM wire erosion, or how we can help you, please head over to our website, or contact our friendly team at Qualitetch for more information.

CNC Machining Services - Visit our website

Customers are reminded that we have a fully equipped tool room in which we can offer a full range of machining services. These machining services include the production of standard form tools as well as completely bespoke components. It is worth noting that we can also offer a tap wiring service, if required. For further information, please visit the website or you can contact us directly by phone or email.

Metal Stamping Services - Visit our website

We also offer a metal stamping facility, which is more suited to volume work of parts once they are finalised for production after the initial prototype stage. Offering this service means that customers effectively have a “one-stop shop” for both flat and formed metal components, as parts can be proved off using chemical etching processes and if suitable can be volume run for main production. Find out more about our metal stamping services by visiting Qualitetch online.

Metal Laser Cutting - Visit our website

CNC laser cutting is an ideal forming technique for situations where etching is unsuitable (when using certain materials, for example). It’s quick, cost-effective, and will produce parts with comparable tolerances to etching but in almost any material. Laser cutting also allows larger parts to be processed – sheets of up to 1500 x 3000mm can be cut, and in various thicknesses. CNC laser cutting is a useful addition to our portfolio of services and means that Qualitetch is the only company you need speak to for your total metal component solution.

Aluminium Etching - Visit our website

Aluminium etching can be a complex process, requiring expertise and experience but when done correctly, it can deliver excellent results. The main issue with this material is that it's exothermic and therefore reacts during the etching process, leading to an uneven, rough surface. When working with aluminium, we are use the correct process controls in order to combat this issue. The major benefits of aluminium etching are the lightweight nature of the materials, as well as the attractive finish which can be achieved.

Molybdenum Etching - Visit our website

Molybdenum is relatively popular across the entire manufacturing industry but molybdenum etching is particularly suited to the medical, aerospace, defence and telecommunication industries. This material has a variety of benefits but it's most notable upside is its high melting point and its resistance to thermal expansion. With these qualities in mind, chemical etching using molybdenum is ideal in components which experience higher temperatures. It's also worth noting that we can work with a variety of different sized components, thanks to overall versatility of molybdenum.

Nickel Silver Etching - Visit our website

Nickel is a popular material within component production due to its resistance to high temperatures and its resistance to corrosion. One of the main uses of nickel is as a coating for softer, less resistant materials, protecting them from external elements. We can work with both nickel and nickel silver when producing components. It's also worth noting that we can provide a fast turnaround, delivering high quality and reliable products quickly. If you'd like to discuss anything specific about this service, feel free to get in touch with us directly.

Silver Photo Chemical Etching - Visit our website

Here at Qualitetch, we are pleased to produce fine quality parts and components using silver etching processes. Our highly skilled and experienced team produces a wide range of silver-etched products, many of which are in line with extremely intricate designs. The etching process itself is much the same as the etching process using other metals, however, silver reacts with many chemicals, so we use a special chemical etchant called Ferric Nitrate which enables us to produce fantastic quality products. Alongside our silver etching service, we can also plate and finish products that have already been manufactured from other materials. Please get in touch with your requirements to find out more.

Stainless Steel Etching - Visit our website

Stainless steel etching is incredibly popular thanks to the alloy having a high resistance to corrosion. It's also favoured due to the components not needing any additional plating or finishing, therefore saving time and money. We can provide components for a wide range of industries, ranging from medical and defence, to jewellery and creative arts. It's also worth noting that we offer stainless steel in a variety of tempers, including cold rolled, hard rolled and annealed. For further information, don't hesitate to visit the website.
