Noise at Work

A half day course designed for people who spend their working day in a noisy environment, or for those that have responsibility for workplace risk assessment. By the end of the course employees will have developed a basic understanding of the noise assessment process and how to control workplace noise as well as having a grasp on the legislative requirements needed to do this. Staff will have developed an understanding of all the relevant terminology relating to noise and be able to implement techniques to reduce the level of noise. Additionally, they will be able to use the sound level meter and noise map to complete the noise risk assessment and report forms.

Working at Height

Working at height comes under the Work at Height Regulations 2005, and Paramount Health and Safety Limited provides a full day course to cater to those with responsibilities in that area. The course aims to make participants fully aware of their legal requirements under Work at Height Regulations and ensures full understanding of the Regulations. In addition on completion, attendees will have learnt how to undertake risk assessments as well as plan and organise work for capable personnel.  Delegates will be able to help prevent falls from height and reduce the risk to other employees and themselves by being equipped with the knowledge to select the right equipment and restraint systems for the job. Furthermore they will be able to perform equipment checks, and select and put on a harness.

Manual Handling

Paramount Health and Safety Limited offer the ideal course for anyone who has to deal with manual handling operations at work. The course will thoroughly explain key points of the Manual Handling Operations Regulations 1992. By the end of the course attendees will be aware of how back injury occurs, the construction of the spine, its workings and ways to care for it. This knowledge will give participants an understanding of how a back injury can affect the injured party and their employer. They will also be able to demonstrate and practice safe lifting practices to others as well as being able to interpret manual handling risks and suggest practical alternatives.

Risk Assessment

A half day course that will provide participants with the information needed to complete satisfactory and correct risk assessments as well as being able to recognise the key elements of the risk assessment process. In addition they will be able to define and identify risk assessment processes, key words and complete the risk assessment documentation whilst keeping in mind the necessary legal requirements involved. Staff will also be able to assess and put in place correct control measures and be able to evaluate risk assessment.

Fire Risk Assessment

Paramount Health and Safety Limited provide an extremely comprehensive one day course for staff that has to review or complete their company’s fire risk assessment. The overall aim of the course it to reduce or eliminate the risk of injury from fire to employees under The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005. The course achieves these by making employees aware of the different types of fire hazard and how to prevent and control them. It will explain and demonstrate the varying selection of fire equipment available and ensure participants are aware of fire equipment signage and the importance of its visibility as well as the correct location of equipment. The course will also differentiate between the types of fire extinguisher and their suitability for applications. Delegates will leave with the confidence to undertake a full fire risk assessment in their own place of work.

CIEH Level 2 Award in Health and Safety in the Workplace

This certificated course meets the requirements of the National Occupational Standards and is open to employees from all industries and sectors. It gives attendees an overall understanding of the importance of health and safety and how different standards will affect employees. It sets out the legal requirements of both staff and employers in addition to highlighting how to identify and assess potential work place health hazards and ways to control them. Employees will be given an appreciation of the relevant risk assessment processes for their industry and will be aware of the importance of upholding high levels of maintenance, housekeeping and building arrangement at work. They will also be able to put in place preventable measures for some accidents and describe both the risk reporting process as well as how welfare provision requirements have an effect on specific risks

IOSH Working Safely

7.A new Health and Safety training method for staff of all sectors; the IOSH Working Safely incorporates all the basics into one full day interactive package with 6 hours face to face tuition time. The courses will enable colleagues to work without causing risk to themselves or others and to fully understand the consequences of not work in a safe manner. Attendees will be able to appreciate potential hazards and to understand and use risk assessment on a daily basis. Paramount Health and Safety Limited teach awareness of the necessary precautions that need to be taken for their call for industry and the call for an effective health and safety management system.  In addition they will be able to correctly identify safety signs and signage by the end of the course and will know the correct way and person to report accidents to as well being given a full comprehension of emergency plans and procedures. Finally we explain how industries affect the environment and the importance of reducing waste and pollution.

IOSH Managing Safely

This is a very thorough four day course that has been specifically designed for managers from all sectors to give them the skills to be able to effectively handle health as safety in their team. On completion of the course they will be able to offer and apply relevant health and safety objectives as well as the applicable management principles and practices. Paramount Health and Safety Limited teach our delegates how to identify and control workplace risk as well as providing them with ability to instruct, inform, train and supervise others to be able to competently and safely carry out their tasks at work. Attendees will also be shown how to effectively investigate accidents as well as being taught about the legal obligations of managers and employees and the environmental effects companies have and how to minimise them.
