Laser Marking System - Series 3

This system has a large marking area and has been especially designed to mark PCB’s accurately within the production line as well as being able to be used as a standalone cell. The PCB is locked into its marking position and then the servo controlled X-Y axis moves the CO2 laser creating a flying laser concept. Windows™ based software can be used to programme both the markings and their positions. There is also the choice to use an integrated inverter that provides double sided marking. The Series 3 also comes with a CCD camera for a readability check.

Laser Marking System - Series 5

Nutek’s Series 5 laser marking system uses a 3-axis galvo-head in order to provide a marking area of 350 x 3350mm and negates the need to use the X-Y gantry. This allows the machine to produce a large number of markings within a fast cycle time. The system can be used to mark text, barcodes 2D codes and graphics. The Series 5 is easily programmed using Windows™ based software and can either be used as a standalone cell or as part of a production line to accurately mark PCB’s. For double sided marking there is the option to use an integrated inverter.

Scan Station

The MODI company's ‘Adomo’ (Advanced Optical Modulation) system has been included into Nutek’s Scan Station and it uses the stepper controlled mirror heads within Adodmo to examine large areas using high resolution and rapid cycle times. The Adomo camera system has a field of view that is accurate to 1 µm and glances from different positions in a matter of milliseconds. The integral microprocessor controls both the accurate mirror movements and the camera synchronisation an there is the ability to use cameras with 0.5-4 Megapixels resolutions for certain applications.

Dual Magazine Line Unloader

Nuteks’ Dual Magazine Unloader is controlled by Omron PLC and can be custom made to fit the magazine you need. The PCB’s are picked up from the upstream machine and taken onto a shuttle conveyor which then pushes the PCB’s into the chosen magazine. The shuttle conveyor will move sideways between the upstream machine and the magazines. It is also possible to select the pitch settings on the machine and to regulate the pressure on the integrated pusher.

Inspection Conveyor

This is an ideal tool for when it is necessary to regularly inspect PCB’s. The standard segment length is 500mm but there is a multi zone concept available. The width of the conveyor can easily be adjusted using the hand crank and there is the option to select either inspection or by pass mode. The PCB will stop in the centre and the whole conveyor is controlled by PLC.

PCB Rotator

Controlled by PLC, this useful PCB rotator will rotate the PCB 90°and then transfer it downstream to the modular placement machine. The PCB length and width can be set using the position indicators and the conveyor will automatically open whilst the PCB is lifted up to the set length. After the PCB has been rotated it will be transferred out sideways, however the operation can be reversed in order to transfer it our lengthways instead.

Multi Magazine Buffer

The multi magazine buffer from Nutek features an automatic change over system and has 5 modes of operation built in. It can be used as either a mid-line loader or unloader and is suitable as a high capacity LIFO and FIFO buffer or alternatively as a reject buffer. The pusher conveyor is dual function and there is pressure limitation on the pneumatic pusher. Once the PCB’s are in the upstream oven, a threshold signal is activated to protect them.

DT Manual Gate

The DT Manual Gate from Nutek has a conveyor that can be adjusted width ways using a hand crank. The Gate also features a locking device to ensure that is cannot be opened during PCB transfer. The conveyor section can be lifted in order to access the rear of the dual track line. Both opening and closing is supported by ergonomic air pressure. The Gate has two ESD belt segments of 1000mm that are independently controlled.

Labelling System Series 3

For accurate label application on PCB’s or on top of components, the Labelling system series 3 is the ideal solution. Using an X-Y gantry, it moves the head of the applicator between the label printer and the placement position. Manual positioned magnetic support pins situated at the bottom aid in keeping the PCB clamped in place so that single or multiple labels can be applied in to any area. Windows™ based software is used to input the number of labels and their positions.

Push Up Stacker

After laser marking or label placement the Push up stacker will simply restack any un-populated PCB’s, in a fast cycle time. It features ergonomic unloading and is easily controlled using the Omron PLC. The width of the conveyor can be adjusted by simply using a hand crank. The status of the machine is displayed on the Towerlight.

Solder Infeed Conveyor

Efficiently controlled by PLC, the Solder Infeed Conveyor feeds the PCB’s or pallets into an angled wave soldering machine 6-7°. The conveyor’s width can be simply adjusted using the hand crank and it features two ESD belts in segments of 500mm, with an extra-large 600mm segment also available. For a more effortless transfer there is a dual speed control on the second segment and it is the second belt segment that also enables the 6-7° angle to be changed.

Inverter

For a ‘double sided’ process, this Inverter from Nutek, inverts or flips the PCB’s 180°. It utilises a pneumatic stopper that ensures that the PCB remains in place during the inverting process. The conveyor can be manually adjusted using the hand crank, which will change its width. The machine is controlled by Omron PLC and also features a selectable by-pass mode.

Vertical Buffer

Used when PCB buffering takes place in the Last In First Out (LIFO) mode, the vertical buffer transfers the PCB’s onto the ESD belt conveyor that is built-in to the system, from there a special chain lifts the PCB’s from the conveyor. The whole machine is controlled by Omron PLC and comes with the ability to select the pitch settings and comes equipped with a threshold signal that serves to protect the PCBs when they are in the upstream oven. Once again, the width of the conveyor can be changed using the hand crank.

DT Telescopic Conveyor

When PCBs are assembled on a dual track line, this unit allows for a ‘normal open’ passage and a uses an integrated conveyor segment to transport the PCB to the downstream machine, which glides over the opening. The machine provides a smooth extension and retraction as it is driven electronically and it also has the benefit of allowing the width of the conveyor to be adjusted by using the hand crank. The design of this machine is fully enclosed and is Omron PLC controlled.

E-Series Dual Magazine Line Unloader

The E-Series Dual Magazine Line Unloader collects PCB’s from the upstream machine and then pushes them from the shuttle conveyor into the pre-selected magazine. The shuttle conveyor moves between the upstream machine and the magazines in a sideways motion. Magazine are placed by hand onto the platform and then clamped into position. The E-Series Unloader uses a pneumatic stopper at the inlet that controls the PCB fow from the upstream refow oven. The E-Series from Nutek also features a pneumatic cylinder that is used to position the shuttle conveyor in the correct place.  The machine can be custom made to fit the chosen magazine. Once again controlled by Omron PLC, the integrated pusher on the Unloader has the pressure regulated and furthermore the PCB’s are protected in the upstream over by a threshold signal.

High Speed Mini Loader

Using a touch screen panel, the Nutek High Speed Mini Loader, loads substrates, lead-frames, and carriers onto the line. The machine is capable of storing up to 10 different types of magazine and a full magazine is picked automatically from the lower magazine conveyor. Commencing with the bottom magazine slot, the pre-positioned, pressure regulated, pneumatic pusher then pushes the product out of the magazine and only once it has been completely emptied is it put onto the upper magazine conveyor. The magazine guide is made from stainless steel and there is a speedy change over between the different types of magazine.
