Customs Clearance

We have a great deal of experience arranging clearance of freight at many ports and airports around the world. As part of a freight forwarding service, we’ll calculate and arrange payment at the correct VAT and duty rate applicable to the type of goods you are importing. Once customs charges have been settled, we can then arrange for the onward delivery of your freight using one of our partnered haulage companies. We cover all UK ports and airports and can offer customs clearance assistance in more than 90 countries worldwide thanks to a global network of independent freight forwarders.

Ocean Freight

Road Freight

We can organise road freight deliveries throughout the UK, Europe and the rest of the world. Our operations team are able to call upon the services of a number of highly experienced haulage companies to ensure timely delivery of shipments wherever they are headed. Warehousing and Storage

To complement our freight forwarding services, Mercator can organise warehousing and storage facilities for the consolidation and de-consolidation of shipments, for the dry storage of non-hazardous cargo and the flexible handling of freight which requires short or long term storage. This saves you the cost of maintaining your own storage facilities. 

Medium term bonded storage and warehousing facilities are also available: these allow you to defer the payment of customs and duty fees until such time as they are to be distributed. International Relocation

Mercator offers a comprehensive international relocation shipping service for businesses and individuals moving from or to the UK. We can help with packing, loading and shipping of personal effects such as furniture, electrical items and clothing, and we can also handle clearance, onward delivery, unpacking and rubbish removal once they arrive at their destination.
