Products

Knowsley SK design and manufacture a range of fire and safety equipment that is utilised within the oil, gas and petrochemical industries where efficient and reliable equipment is needed to support high risk, unpredictable situations. In these applications the protection of people and high-value assets and installations is paramount and we are pleased to provide solutions that are renowned for their superiority. These industries operate within some of the harshest environments on the planet and our equipment must deliver in any situation. As such our product ranges incorporate environment-specific designs, features and materials to provide both reliability and longevity in climates varying from -50°C to +60°C.

Our innovative range of products is backed by a worldwide support network, so no matter where you are in the world we have qualified mechanical and electrical engineers who can be on site to assist with all of your installation, training, servicing, testing and maintenance demands.

Our website contains comprehensive information about the products and services we provide, including individual product specification sheets. Please take a look at your leisure and do not hesitate to contact us should you wish to discuss your particular requirements.

Hydrant Valves

As experts in their field, Knowsley SK is pleased to offer customers access to one of the most extensive selections of hydrant valves (landing valves) available on the market today. So, whether you are looking for globe valves, gate valves or pressure reducing valves, we’re more than likely to be able to meet your requirements. Our range includes 2 ½” globe valves, suitable for use with fire hydrants, and Delta P pressure reducing valves that have been designed to tolerate fire mains working pressures of up to 20 barg. Full product specification details can be found on the comprehensive product sheet available for download from our website.

Hydrants

Pillar style hydrants allow large volumes of water to be accessed rapidly making them an extremely popular addition to many land-based applications. The range of Knowsley SK pillar hydrants encompasses models that have been designed to withstand a variety of environmental conditions, such as our dry-barrel hydrants, which are suited to sub-zero conditions as their self-draining nature eliminates the frost damage associated with wet-barrel hydrants. We manufacture hydrants in cast iron, steel and low temperature steel allowing customers to choose the most suitable option for their requirements, as well as offering a choice of outlet configurations and below ground dimensions.

Monitors

Over the course of 75 years, Knowsley SK has developed its knowledge, skills and expertise in the design and manufacture of a range of monitors for various fire fighting applications.  This range includes fixed, oscillating, mobile and portable units, all of which afford unsurpassed performance levels. The Evictor is a fine example of our development capabilities and the variety of models available.  This self-oscillating monitor was designed to provide absolute protection against vessel attacks by pirates, and unattended operation negates the requirement for a crew member to be present. Full details of this and our other monitors can be found on our website.

Nozzles

Our range of hand-held nozzles has been designed to affix onto hose lines in order to provide ultimate control, power and precision whatever fire fighting scenario you come up against.  Knowsley SK is pleased to offer several different designs of nozzle in order to meet the varying requirements of different applications. Our most recent addition to our nozzle range is the Striker 10, an FM approved combination nozzle that allows a choice of three flow positions: straight jet, atomised spray or wide-spreading cone. This is also accompanied by three separate flow rates allowing the operator maximum control.

Foam Systems

Knowsley SK offers a diverse range of fire suppression solutions for hydrocarbon type fires including those for use with low, medium and high expansion systems. As an expert in its field, Knowsley SK has the extensive knowledge required to deliver robust foam making and proportioning packages that can be depended upon no matter what environment they are installed in.  Our packages are predominantly skid mounted and comprise of a choice of water diesel or electric motor driven foam pumps, bladder tanks and a selection of fixed inductor style units.

Turbinator

Knowsley SK’s Turbinator is a positive displacement foam concentrate dosing machine that has been manufactured from high-grade materials allowing it to withstand the most severe conditions.  It uses either freshwater or seawater as its source and is totally unique in its nature in that it does not produce any waste water.  It requires no external power source, making it just as suited to mobile applications as within fixed systems, and there is a choice of three sizes available, each of which offers different flow ranges – MIDI 500-3000 l/min, MIDI-PLUS 1000-6500 l/m, MAXI 1500-12000 l/m.

Tank Protection

Adequate protection of storage tanks is crucial, both for safeguarding contents and assets and for allowing uninterrupted production.  Knowsley SK’s range of tank protection systems includes options for both fixed roof and floating roof tanks.  The design of our protection solutions for floating roof tanks features a number of foam pourers situated around the periphery, thus providing adequate protection of the rim seal area.  Our fixed-roof systems consist of either sub surface foam applicators or pouring devices located at the top of the tank.  Our team of experts will happily talk you through the different options and help determine the most appropriate solution for your particular set up.

Deluge Systems

Knowsley SK can work with you to design and manufacture bespoke deluge skids for your specific application, working to the individual constraints of your particular project, whether it be in a desert, arctic, tropical or temperate climate. We are able to construct skids in a variety of materials and finishes to suit your requirements.  Our deluge globe valves are made to the same exacting standards and are manufactured from elastomeric material in a variety of sizes from 2” to 12” (DN50 to DN300).
