IAC specialises in the design, manufacture, installation and commissioning of variable speed drive systems, PLCs, SCADA, MCCs and control instrumentation. We are the UK’s leading electrical systems integrator, operating on a global scale from a 50,000 sq ft production facility in Newport, South Wales.
IAC provides bespoke solutions across a variety of industry sectors, including paper, metals, pharmaceuticals, materials handling, food and beverage, chemicals, printing, textiles and water. We have a dedicated team of engineers who are fully trained in the application and use of PLC and drive products, and who are able to provide a seamless service from concept to completion.
As well as Mainline production, IAC offers a Fastrak service for small projects requiring a rapid response. In both cases we have a proven track-record of delivering projects to the agreed specification on time and within budget.

IAC has been developing and implementing variable speed drive systems for over 40 years. In the 1970s we began manufacturing Vanguard DC drives under license from Italy, and in the following decade we developed the 484 Analogue DC drive module and the TAFI, which at the time was one of the first zero speed, high torque AC VVVF inverter drives on the market.
By the 1990s, IAC was finding it hard to match the investment being made by the likes of Siemens, ABB, SSD and Control Techniques, so a strategic decision was made to withdraw from drive module manufacture and instead concentrate on our expertise in their application.
Since then we have been building partnerships with leading drive manufacturers throughout the world who provide us with the systems that enable us to combine our proven application knowledge with the latest digital technologies. We are now an Approved System Integrator for all of the world’s major drive module manufacturers.
IAC has also evolved to become an Authorised and Audited Systems Integrator for the major PLC suppliers. We can supply and install the following systems:
