Harpenden Engineering Services – HES – is a Hertforshire-based designer and manufacturer of bespoke special purpose machines for a range of industrial sectors. HES provides machines for production processes in auto-assembly, tube labelling, testing and inspection, packaging and bagging, material processing, mechanical handling, labelling, and system integration.

We use established and tested designs for our products while also maintaining the innovative flexibility needed to adapt our designs to specific customer needs.And we produce specialised and programmable control systems – including sensor interfaces, customer control, machine tools, and data loggers – to increase the utility of our products. Tube Labelling Machines

We offer tube labelling machines for fast application of self-adhesive labels on to collapsible tubes, before they are filled, in industrial production settings. Labels applied to tubes is a faster process than producing printed tubes; and this process also allows for cost savings and lower batch quantities. Our products include a single-headed tube labelling machine and a double-headed tube labelling machine; these allow for production rates ranging from 30 to 140 tubes per minute. Auto-assembly Machines

Our auto-assembly machines can assemble up to six separate components at an industrial rate of 60 parts per minute. Components are loaded from four bowl-feeders, liquid from a peristaltic pump, and are assembled around a rotary indexing table that holds 32 product nests. Components can be automatically sorted and delivered to production.
