At GIF, we are pleased to offer an extensive range of high-quality image laminating films. Our metalised film range comprises both Wet and Thermal Metalised Soft Touch Bi-axially Oriented Polypropylene (BOPP) products. Our Wet product is corona treated on both sides, print receptive coating and features a mirror effect. The Thermal product is print receptive (produces holographic results with standard links). It features excellent anti-scratch properties and a smooth velvet feel. Both styles are available in a variety of widths and lengths to suit all requirements.
Our Thermal Digital or Bi-axially oriented Polypropylene (BOPP) Film has excellent bonding properties and was designed especially for laminating digital print in addition to offering a high-quality finish. It features extrusion coated low melt adhesive inside, improved bond strength for digital toner inks, and excellent resistance to elongation and tear. Due to its high surface tensions, the film is also suitable for UV spot varnish and other processes. GIF are also suppliers of eco-friendly films in the forms of our Wet and Thermal OXO Biodegradable OPP Lamination Films. These products were designed to tackle the ever increasing problem of plastic waste accumulating in our oceans and land. Our first-rate Encapsulation range comprises films featuring corona treatment on both sides, low melt adhesive coating insides, excellent optical properties, fantastic natural matt finish, and optimum resistance to scuff, scratch, and tear. Products in this range are polyester based which provides excellent adhesion and is ideal for singular or double sided lamination/encapsulation. GIF is now pleased to offer encapsulating films in 40, 75, 125, and 250 microns in both gloss and matt finished. Special additives are co-extruded into the film creating an antibacterial outer layer barrier that is designed to kill 99% of bacteria it comes into contact with. Our Wet Soft Touch 17 Micron Film has been specially designed to laminate high-quality graphic media, with an agreeable, velvety feel.
