Scaffold Boards

Gilray Plant now manufactures its own Kitemarked scaffold boards, all of which are made to meet the British Standard 2482:2009 and fabricated using machine-stress-graded timber. They are available in the three standard industry sizes of 3.9m (13ft), 3m (10ft) and 2.4m (8ft), and they can be tailored to your requirements with customised bands, branding and nail-plating. Fire-retardant boards are also available.

Scaffold Tubes

We supply 4mm galvanised steel scaffold tube in the standard industry lengths of 21ft, 16ft, 13ft, 10ft, 8ft, 6ft and 5ft. We can also provide a cutting service for customers requiring non-standard lengths. The tube we supply is tested to EN 39 and independently audited by the National Access and Scaffolding Confederation (of which we are full members), giving you complete peace of mind in terms of quality and safety. 

Gilray Plant also offers aluminium tube in 20ft lengths with an outside diameter of 48.4mm. These can also be cut to non-standard sizes if required. Visit us online or get in touch to find out more. 

Scaffold Fittings

Gilray Plant offers a huge range of scaffold fittings made in accordance with EN74-1:2005. When purchased in bulk, these can be customised with your company name. Otherwise they will be made with Gilray marks of identification which aid traceability and deter theft. Types of fitting offered include (but are by no means limited to):

• Double Couplers (EN 74 Part B) – Drop forged, zinc plated.
• Swivel Couplers (EN 74 Part B) – Drop forged, zinc plated.
• Wrapovers (BS 1139) – Also known as single couplers or ‘pig’s ears’.
• Sleeve Couplers – For joining tube together.
• Girder Couplers – Also known as Gravlocks.
• Roofing Couplers – To avoid drilling holes in CI sheets.

Scaffold Debris Netting

Gilray Plant can supply debris netting and ties in a range of colours, including green, blue, orange, red, yellow, white and black. Having a choice of colours helps you to maintain your corporate identity even when working on site. Our debris netting is weighted at 72 grams per square metre, giving it excellent strength and durability. It is available in 50 metre rolls measuring 2 or 3 metres in width. Scaffold Sheeting

Scaffold sheeting is available in three grades: standard, heavy duty and fire-retardant. The first of these has a weight of 180 grams per square metre and is available in lengths of 45m and widths of 2 or 3 metres. Heavy duty sheeting weighs 250 grams per square metre, making it ideal for particularly exposed or windy sites. This is also available in 45m rolls measuring 2 or 3 metres in width. Scaffolding Baseplates & U Heads

In this category you’ll find:

• 3mm Standard Baseplates – These can be placed on our basepads to avoid surface marking.
• 5mm Heavy Duty Baseplates – For more demanding scaffolding applications. 
• Basepads – These are placed under baseplates to prevent damage and marking to pavements. 
• Adjustable Base Plates – Useful when you need to spread the load of your scaffolding installation. 
• U-Heads – For holding beams in place. Adjustable stems allow you to alter height if required.

Unit & Ladder Beams

Our painted steel ladder beams are designed to provide a clear span between scaffolds. Rungs are placed at 305mm intervals and are 305mm wide. Painted steel ladder beams are available in the standard industry sizes of 4m (13ft), 4.87m (16ft) and 6.4m (21ft). 

Our aluminium unit beams come with two or three holes and square or fish-tailed ends. They are available in the standard industry sizes of 12ft, 9ft, 8ft and 6ft. We also supply aluminium lattice beams which can be joined together using our universal galvanised spigots. These are useful for spreading the load of the scaffold.

Scaffolding Bins & Stillages

Gilray offers a range of scaffolding bins and stillages for the storage and movement of your scaffolding plant. These include:

• Fitting Bins – A selection of sturdy, stackable bins for keeping all your scaffolding fittings in one place. 
• Tube Stillages – We offer several classic tube stillages for the storage of scaffolding tube. These are made to be very easy to manoeuvre using a forklift. 
• Tube Grip Stillages – For keeping your scaffolding tubes tidily stacked.
