Cold Light Source

We supply the SCHOTT Fibre Optic Cold Light Source KL200. It features a 20-W light source that is designed for use with fibre optic bundles, ring-lights and gooseneck light-guides in microscopy and other applications. The brightness can be controlled in three stages – stage one provides a service life of approximately 10,000 while stage three offers 300 hours and a colour temperature of 3200 K. Hot Mirrors

Hot mirrors are commonly used in applications where the build-up of heat causes damage to machines or has an impact on the illumination source. Hot mirrors are used to guard optical systems by reflecting infrared light back into a light source. At the same time it permits visible light to pass through. Fibre Optic Cold Light Source

The SCHOTT KL200 is a 20-watt fibre optic cold light source which has been designed for use with fibre optic bundles, ringlights and gooseneck lightguides in microscopy and other applications. It has three controllable brightness settings/stages. At stage one, the light reflector bulb has a service life of approximately 10,000 hours, while stage three offers 300 hours and a colour temperature of 3200K. The KL200 requires no fan, which results in a vibration-free operation. Germanium Thermal Imaging Windows

Galvoptics are able to manufacture Germanium thermal imaging windows in virtually any size, shape and thickness, and we are happy to provide any advice or assistance in determining the specifications that your application requires. Windows are available with anti-reflection coatings on either or both sides, or with Hard Carbon Diamond coatings if required. These are often referred to as DLC or HDC coatings. Dichroic Filters

At Galvoptics, we’re able to produce Dichroic filters in a full range of standard colours - as well as a number of non-standard colours. Dichroic filters can be made to virtually any specification, so please get in touch with your requirements. Our filters are coated on 1.1mm Boroflat substrate as standard, and have an operating temperature of up to 450°C. A range of reflective colour Dichroic mirrors/filters are also available.
