Products

Established in 1962, Freddy Products Ltd are the leading supplier of industrial vacuums as well as our own coolant filtration and recycling machines. Our coolant recycling machines allow you to save money and improve health and safety by filtering coolant, removing debris and allowing it to be reused. Be it for coolant recycling, dust management or swarf removal, we can provide you with an industrial vacuum to suit your needs. Our range covers wet vacuums, dry vacuums and wet and dry vacuums, as well as ATEX and HEPA approved vacuums.

With over 50 years of experience manufacturing industrial vacuums, we have developed a reputation for quality and longevity. In fact, we have Freddy Mark I machines that are over 35 years old and are still working in heavy industry! It is this quality and longevity that makes our products appealing to clients such as Kennametal, BAE Systems, Unilever, Rolls Royce and Houghtons, among others.

When you buy one of our products, you get more than just a high quality machine. You get worldwide sales advisory support, spares and service support teams. All of our distributors and partners have industry-specific knowledge, can provide excellent service packages and the consumables and accessories to complement our products. We can also provide additional project advice and design bespoke machines if our extensive range does not cater to your needs.

Freddy Recycling Vacuums: Superminor

When it comes to recycling coolant, the Superminor range of coolant vacuums are the most well established and widely used in the world, with a winning balance of power, longevity and ease of use. A Superminor vacuum can give you efficiency and peace of mind for years to come.

The Superminor has suction of over 5 litres per second, a return rate of approximately 2 litres per second, and an overfill prevention system. It also comes with interchangeable drums, which allow a variety of fluids to be dealt with by one machine, while avoiding cross contamination.

Freddy Recycling Vacuums: Midi

With a capacity of 200 litres, the Freddy Midi is a larger capacity version of the Superminor, designed to offer the same level of trusted performance. It is an essential tool in any modern machine workshop and provides a great amount of versatility.

Along with its 200 litre capacity, the Midi has a suction rate of over 5 litres per second and a continuous discharge rate of 3 litres per second. It also has an independent filter than allows 37 litres of swarf and solids to be collected and removed. To prevent overfilling, the Midi has a float assembly that automatically stops suction when the capacity is reached.

Freddy Recycling Vacuums: Ecovac

The Freddy Ecovac allows for continuous pumping, through use of the power module for suction and a separate pump for return. This allows you to remove and recycle coolant continuously, with much less down time.

The Ecovac also has an independent filter, which allows it to collect 37 litres of swarf and solids, and a float assembly, that stops the suction automatically when the tank is full, but allows the pump to continue to discharge. The Ecovac 200 litre has the same suction and discharge rates at the Midi, at over 5 litres per second and 3 litres per second respectively.

Freddy Recycling Vacuums: Mark V

One of our largest models, the Freddy Mark V's 40+ years of development maintain its place as the leader in its class, while its incredible versatility assures that it is an essential tool for any machine shop.

The Freddy Mark V comes with a four way valve, which allows you to change it from suction to return by simply moving a lever. This switches the Mark V to return mode, without needing the motors to be stopped. Another feature is the tipping filter, which makes removal of the 60 litre filter basket quick and easy.

Freddy Recycling Vacuums: Tramp Oil Separator

The Freddy Tramp Oil Separator serves the purpose of removing free lubricating and hydraulic oil from coolants, whether it be for machine tool sumps, quench tanks or component washing systems. This machine can continuously separate oil from the coolant or water, all while the host machine is operating. Cleaned fluid is returned through a 3 metre hose, which ends in a magnetic fixing that can easily be attached to the machine sump.

This process is important because it prohibits bacterial growth in the coolant, which depletes additive packages, ruins the chemical balance and negatively affects the coolant's performance. Using a tramp oil separator regularly extends the coolant's life by controlling bacterial growth.

Freddy Recycling Vacuums: Centrifuge

Clean coolant means longer tool life and higher quality products, which is why the Freddy Centrifuge is essential for extending the life of the working liquid and providing an environmentally effective and low maintenance way of separating/handling any solids/sludge.

This machine can be used for a variety of applications thanks to its single and double bowl configurations. The Twin Bowl Centrifuge has double the throughput of the Single Centrifuge system, and is more effective for applications in which the coolant is a cutting oil and fine finishes to close tolerances are necessary.

Freddy Recycling Vacuums: Swarf Vac KSV 45

If you need to collect coolant and metal chippings, but would prefer a vacuum that takes up less space, you may benefit from the portable KSV 45. This product is smaller than the 100 Litre Freddy Superminor, and is thus more suited to smaller workshops.

Metal chippings or swarf are collected in a perforated steel basket that sits inside the canister, and the liquid is drained from the basket when it is removed, allowing the collected material to be dealt with. There is also a perforated steel filter around the float cage that prevents swarf from getting into the motors.

Dry Vacuums: Sibilia

Our selection of industrial dry vacuums includes a variety of Sibilia vacuum systems, such as the compact and versatile DS1505. This vacuum comes with a suction apparatus that has a lateral canal turbine, which allows it to collect different solid or powder materials.

Another example is the medium power DS800 vacuum, which has a side channel pump turbine that is protected by a steel frame. It is ideal for continuous use and can collect a variety of solid and powder materials, even very fine dust.

If portability is not an issue, the S10E is a good larger option, which is perfect for use in difficult conditions and has a self-cooling lobe pump that can allow high vacuum levels to be reached.

Dry Vacuums: Freddy Dry Vacuums

We also have our own Freddy range of industrial dry vacuums, which includes ATEX and HEPA suitable models.

When it comes to smaller vacuum cleaners, the KV10 is one of the toughest around. Its powerful and reliable twin fan motor assure years of efficiency, and its four heavy duty castors allow for an amazing balance between stability and manoeuvrability.

Vacuums in the KAV HEPA range are made for collecting hazardous dust and debris in gas zone 2 and dust zone 22, and gas zone 1 and dust zone 21 are covered by upgraded models. These vacuums are tested individually and come with certificates of filtration efficiency.

Wet and Dry Vacuums: KV100

The KV100 has a rotationally moulded plastic canister that has strong implosion resistance, a heavy duty detachable caddy and a motor head moulded from corrosion resistant plastic. The standard model comes with a drain hose and stopper, which allows for quick disposal of liquids, and is suited for wet or dry use.

Pump out models (WP) are only suitable for wet pick up, but are particularly effective for use in flooded basements and tanks, thanks to their 10 metre long discharge hoses and facility for continuous collection and discharge. These models also come with stainless steel submersible pumps and automatic float type level switches.

Atex and Hepa Vacuums

Our range of ATEX and HEPA vacuums are made for the collection of certain hazardous materials, like the Freddy KEVA45, which is intended for use with potentially explosive and conductive dust or debris in dust zone 22. This model has three stages of filtration on the negative pressure side of the motor, and is built using an electronically commutated brushless motor.

Our Type H vacuums are designed for the safe and effective vacuuming of hazardous dust and debris such as asbestos, carcinogens, finely divided silica and highly active pharmaceutical products, and are tested to assure filtration efficiency above 99.995%.

Drum Top Vacuums

With the ability to be fitted to any 205 litre drum, the Freddy Drum Top Vacuum is very versatile and capable of collecting waste such as swarf, plastic, wood and (when fitted with the optional Wet Float Assembly) liquids. This vacuum can keep going when other vacuums aren't powerful enough, and comes with either 2kw or 3kw motors and voltages of 110v or 240v.

We can also provide a Drum Top with Electric Filter Shaker, which is particularly useful for overly dusty applications. All it takes is one button press to shake heavy build up off of the filter assembly and down into the drum.

Chemicals

Our technical managers are knowledgeable and experienced when it comes to commercial cleaning. Whether you need ride on machines or floor and carpet cleaners, Freddy provide the complete cleaning solution, with both machinery and ancillary branded consumables.

Our range of chemicals includes items like the Freddy floor cleaner, a heavy duty, alkali cleaner that is effective for use with scrubber dryer machines. There is also the Go cleaner, which uses a mixture of surfactants, emulsifiers and water to quickly wet surfaces and disperse grease and other soils.

Filter Bags

Regardless of what you need to filter – be it coolant or fine swarf – we have a range of filter bags to cater to your needs. You can also call us if you need help figuring out which filter bag you need.

Our filter bags come in a wide range of micron sizes and materials, and are either reusable or disposable. Our online store also sells filter bags at a special price that you won't find anywhere else.

Hose

While all of our machines come supplied with hose, it can become worn and need replacing. As such, we have a range of replacement hoses in stock to cover all of our machines. Don't worry about finding the right hose among our wide range though, as the machines listed on our website detail which hose they use in their parts lists. If you do have trouble though, feel free to call our customer service team for help.

Accessories

Our machines come with standard accessories and tools, but there may well be additional tools necessary for some applications and times when accessories need replacing. Whatever your particular requirements, we stock a variety of accessories, including brushes, couplings, seals, filter baskets, nozzles, switches and extension arms.
