We have the capabilities, machinery and experience to manufacture components directly from your drawings. At FG Motorsport we can help whether you require a one-time product or are looking for a last minute large volume of assemblies. We can also help if you are looking to have a component modified for a specific application or require assistance in the design application of a prototype. At FG Motorsports we can match the international standards you require whether that is British, American, Japanese and ISO standards gears and spines. This service is a standard feature for our company and we are experienced and up to date on international standards. We offer this feature across a range of different engineering processes including racing cars or vintage cars and aeroplanes or yachts. We are also capable of manufacturing and supplying non-standard equipment and components; this is a regular service for many of our one off and long term customers.
At FG Motorsports we offer a broad spectrum of materials including nylon, aluminium and stainless steel as well are more uncommon material such as monel, inconel and maraging, known for its superior strength and malleability. We also have the capability and experience to manufacture complete machines and equipment such as impact machines. When it comes to cutting tools we stock over 1000 gear cutting, broaching and slotting tools that enable us to produce a range of gears, splines, sprockets, toothed pulleys, ratchets, squares, bi-squares and keyways. We have a number of gear cutting machines including six hobbing machines and seven shaping machines. Our engineers are also experienced at using our bevel cutting and slotting machines.
For your turning and milling requirements we use computer numerically controlled (CNV) machines (with CAD/CAM) as well as manual turning and milling, which enables us to produce the most complex and intricate components. Our company also has a Haas TL-25 twin spindle lathe as well as a VF-2 4th axis mill, which was supplied to our premises courtesy of Rage Motorsport, a company with which we develop gearboxes for their off road buggies.
We are able to undertake precision pitches from tenths of millimetre to more than one and half inches. Whether it’s imperial, metric, circular pitch, split pitch or JIS we can fulfil your requirements. If we do not have the equipment that you require in stock then we can source components from our preferred network of partners within only a few days.
When it comes to pressure angles then it’s true to say that if we don’t manufacture or supply it you probably don’t need it. We can pressure angle from 12 1/2 to 45 as well as most of the standard and non-standard pressure angles in between.
FG Motorsport stocks a diverse range of components, parts and equipment to meet your requirements. We hold a diverse range of spur gears, worm and worm wheels as well as racks, leadscrews, bevels, worm gearboxes and screw jacks.
