Products

Exhibition Seeds is one of the UK’s leading suppliers of vegetable, grass and tree seeds. We offer a wide variety of graded, top size seeds for gardeners and growers up and down the country. Our products are recognised throughout the industry for their quality and consistency, and indeed many of our seed varieties have won awards on the show bench at various levels, including the championships.

The company was set up in 1986 in order to supply UK gardeners with vegetable seeds for show purposes. Since then we have expanded and diversified our ranges so that we’re now able to offer a huge variety of grass and tree seeds as well as vegetable seeds. Many of our products – including vegetable, herb, medicinal herb, grass and wildflower seeds - are also now available in bulk. Of course, we still acknowledge our roots by offering a few special seed varieties for show purposes.

You can find many varieties listed on our website and in our product catalogue. All of them have been bred to perform well in UK conditions and to give a good yield year upon year.

As expert breeders and cultivators, we can offer all the advice and guidance you need in selecting the right seed variety and in ensuring maximum growth potential.  Our service is friendly, personal and responsive – unlike many multi-national seed retailers we are dedicated to helping you achieve your growing aims.

Carrots Short Nantes Types

Nantes short carrot seed varieties available from Exhibition Seeds include:

  • Carrot Abaco (Kuroda x Chanteney F.1 hybrid) – a classic stump-ended carrot with a deep orange colour - by far the best variety we have ever introduced.
  • Carrot Sweet Candle – a superb new variety with an extra deep orange colour. Ideal for exhibition and kitchen use.
  • Carrot Namur (F.1 hybrid) – an outstanding variety of carrot replacing the Gringo F.1, which has been discontinued commercially.
  • Carrot Newark (F.1 hybrid) – a new Nantes carrot type which has done very well in trials. Gives smooth, good coloured carrots that do not crack in the ground and which make for excellent show carrots. The Newark gives excellent flavour when grown as a main crop winter carrot.
  • Carrot Supreme – a highly popular variety with a traditional shape.
