Products

Established in 1961, ETMA Engineering UK Ltd has over 50 years of experience within the pressure die cast manufacturing industry. The GSA group was formed in 2005 and allowed for further opportunities outside of the traditional industries such as automotive and hardware. One of our biggest successes was the move into system razors with a major customer being Wilkinson Sword. We can supply an off-the-shelf product or if it is required, produce a completely bespoke solution that takes all of your needs into account.

We believe that a the best solutions come from a strong relationship with our customers. It is only through communication that we can deliver the best possible product for their individual requirements. By building a sense of trust with both our clients and partners, we can assure a longevity and continuity for our company as customers repeatedly do business with us as they are guaranteed a high quality product and service.

ETMA Die Casting

Many people choose die castings over other methods of manufacture such as machined, fabricated, pressed and stamped parts. We have been manufacturing die cast components for over 50 years, with a special focus on zinc and aluminium castings. We also have a wide range of finishing options for our castings including single and double pack paint, powder coating of all textures and colours, zinc plating, clear passivate and chrome plating. One the main customers we have had for our die casting has been Ford Automotive but we also supply to the hardware and lock systems industries as well as others.

ETMA Operations

We at ETMA have numerous different operations, all of which are connected to our primary operation of pressure die casting. Our secondary operations include drilling, tapmatic units, reaming, broaching and press trim. We also have a range of finishing operations which include assembly, vibratory de-burr, shotblast, linish and polish and pad printing. Many of these operations use zinc or aluminium and both metals have many different benefits which make them perfect for certain jobs. Aluminium is light weight, strong and has a good corrosion resistance whilst zinc is also strong but has a good electrical conductivity and has a low cost.

Conception, Design & Manufacture

We follow the process of production from the conception and design stages all the way to manufacture. We believe this hands on approach leads to the best product possible as it involves the complete collaboration between our specialists and the client. The actual process of producing a product involves many different stages including design, rapid prototyping, manufacture, finishing and quality control. Each of these stages are completed by trusted partners who are experts within their fields and will stop at nothing to produce the best quality of product.

Design to Pressure Die Casting Manufacture

The jump from the design process to the actual manufacturing of pressure die castings is extensive. We begin with project management which involves the beginning of the project and the planning of each subsequent stage. The design stage is important because it acts a blueprint to the finished product, it is also at this point that we can use 3D based software such as AutoCAD, Solidworks and Catia. We like to work very closely with our design house, whether it is for external projects or in-house led R&D ventures. For more information about our design process, feel free to contact us via the website.

Supply an off-the-shelf Product

Many of our products can be bought 'off-the-shelf' and used straight away within your own systems and machinery. We produce many die castings that are deigned with specific devices in mind, this means most of the work has already been done and our customers can enjoy the benefits straight away. Choosing a product that has already been designed an manufactured has the added benefit that it will have been tested and proved within the field, this can give our customers peace of mind that what they are buying is the best.

Producing a Bespoke Solution

In many instances, our clients will require a product that has been manufactured specifically for their needs and requirements and this is why we also offer a bespoke design service. Out team of designers will work closely with you to produce die castings that are customised to your specific requirements. We will continue to work and communicate with you at each stage to ensure you are happy with the progress we are taking. For more information on our bespoke designs and what they entail, please contact us via the website.

Quality

Quality is incredibly important to us as it is only with a high quality of product that a company will be able to build up trustworthy relationships with their clients and customers. Being part of the GSA illustrates our commitment to quality as the group has accreditations in ISO/TS 16949, ISO 9001, ISO 14001 as well as being accredited to Ford Automotive Q1. Our quality control procedure is rigorous and we supply full PPAP data with documentation and support to our customers. Our trained quality control team apply the best practice procedures and process control measures across all stages of the manufacturing cycle.

Sourcing

As well as our manufacturing process of pressure die casting, we re also successful in sourcing high performance parts and components from all around the world including the UK, China, India, Europe and the US. We have been supplying speciality components and parts to our national and international customers for over 25 years. It is through this time that we have built up strong and long lasting relationships, not just with out clients but also with our import suppliers. It is these relationships that allow us to source and the supply the best quality of components possible.
