ISO 50001:2011

The international standard for the management of energy is the ISO 50001.
 
Introduced in 2011, the ISO 50001 Energy Management System certification provides many worthwhile advantages for those organisations who gain this official energy management recognition. CRC Energy Efficiency Scheme

Does your organisation consume more than 6000 MWh per year with metered electricity that is half-hourly? If so, then you qualify for the mandatory CRC Energy Efficiency Scheme which requires you to report your energy consumption on a regular basis.
 
If you are not sure whether the answer to this question is yes, or no, then energyTEAM’s energy management services will help you to identify qualification for this scheme.
 
The scheme aims to oblige organisations to implement an energy management plan in order to understand and reduce energy usage.

Energy Performance Certificates

As an extension of energyTEAM’s energy legislation services, we also provide Energy Performance (EP) Certificates to a wide range of organisations.
 
Since 2008 it has been a requirement for commercial property to gain an EP certificate and a Recommendations Report in which the building is awarded a rating to represent its level of energy efficiency.
 
Most importantly, the recent 2013 development to this obligation is that non-dwellings with a capacity of more than 500m2 must have a valid Energy Performance Certificate visible to the public.
 
energyTEAM can provide your organisation/property with a valid EPC. In doing this you will avoid incurring a penalty which could reach up to £5000, after which you will still be expected to acquire one of these certificates.
